I don't get why people are flipped so out of shape by this episode
Yes, it was weirder than usual, but could it be that's just what the writers wanted?
They wanted to play with the rules even more than they usually do to see how weird they could get it

Not everything has to be evidence of an acid trip, coma, dream, or schizophrenia

>something creative/surreal happens in a cartoon
>LMAO WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY SMOKING

>D00000000000D WHERE THEY ON DRUGS XD LMAO

This is exactly what OP is memeing though.

Why does everyone get Rolf's quote from this episode completely wrong? He never says "life has many doors, Ed boy".

Holmes never said "Elementary my dear Watson
Kirk never said "Beam me up Scotty
and Vader never said "Luke, I am your father"

They all said a variation of it but people often just accept it, same with Rolfs quote

he says it in the hispanic version except the ed boy part

Berenstein universe.

...

>and Vader never said "Luke, I am your father"
That wouldn't even work in the context he's saying it in.

What happens in the episode is they realize they are in a cartoon

He does. It's earlier in the episode though, when they find out that the tree is flat

This episode was amazing. I remember watching it late at night and laughing.

>it's a outline episode

And it's "Magic mirror on the wall," not "Mirror, mirror."

He literally says it after they find out the tree is flat and they rush off. The only difference is that he addresses all the Eds, so the quote is "Life has many doors, Ed boys!"

This was my favorite episode.

Cha cha cha
CHECKED.

Well snow white is a folk tale and a lot of tellings do have "mirror mirror," so that's not really the same.

>"Magic mirror on the wall," not "Mirror, mirror."
Fun fact: Disney copyrighted use of the phrase "Magic mirror on the wall", which is why everyone else says "Mirror, mirror".

Nice satan quints

*quads whoops

episode name?
quick synopsis?

It's called 1+1=Ed.

The three try to find out answers to the big questions of existence for profit. It gets pretty meta.

Correction...

>It gets pretty meta.
I like that their meta journey ends because they hit the animators pencil

that was some good shit Double-D

"You killed my father"
"Luke, I AM your father" yeah okay.

HALLO ED-BOYS!

yeah and he's a faggot for bringing it up

...

he absolutely does say that just not at the part where he has 3 heads.

This, the episode's about them learning about how their world works, and it being a cartoon world the more they learn the more strange, abstract, and cartoony it becomes. Also has some of my favorite moments in the whole series as a result.

>That fucking perspective joke with Eddy getting larger as he passes behind the background, even going behind the sun before eating it.
>If you can't beat 'em, eat 'em!

And Hamlet never says:
>Alas poor Yorick, I knew him well

Sounds like an average episode of Xavier: Renegade Angel

I love when the Eds are flying away and you can hear Rolf's faint chuckle in the distance.

>the sun becomes a moon

This show was too good.

>tfw you do acid for the first time and you feel like you're shivering like crazy even though you're sitting completely still and you think of this episode for the first time in years and wonder if your outline is falling off
What a feel
