I don't think I can adequately express in words how fucking upset I'll be if this turns out to be poorly written schlock instead of absolute kino.

Double Toasted said it best. We all are swept up because of the trailer's song choice, when there wasn't much dialogue.

>when she see your dick

When she sees your dick she calls her snikt-daddy and makes him take her away from you as quickly as possible?

Same for me. I can't helped but get hyped but then I remember the other Xmen films.

>The Snikt of Us
They should change the title to this. There's a possibility that Daken will be there.

I HURT MYSELF TODAY

Hell my issue is remembering the other solo Wolverine films.
The first one was great at the start but come post adamantium bounding it took a huge dive in quality.
The second film was a huge snoozefest inspite of having a giant mecha samurai for it's third act
I'm deeply worried this will be bad more so that it seems the plot is a strange hodgepodge of stories. I basically feel the film is going to be Children of men: X edition which won't be a good thing.
That said father figure protecting daughter will get the masses no issue so this will be a money maker regardless.

>Double Toasted

literally who

I wish they used something like this
m.youtube.com/watch?v=SABPBly90Nk
Hurt is getting used way to much

I feel the more mutants they add the less the whole "no more of us" holds any weight.

>There's a possibility that Daken will be there
Daken has been confirmed?

There is the scene in the trailer where he blocks claws trying to stab him, it's four above his brow and two twords his mouth.

Fox broke my heart too many times. Now they get to play with Laura.

OTP
Is there any indication in panel if Logan boned guys? I mean he was feral and has been alive for a century.

>Will this be the capeshit that tops all capeshit?
This is the first R-rated X-men film after Deadpool, right? If this sells then expect more R-rated films from Fox. If it bombs then maybe less so.

Honestly, I didn't see anything in the trailer that indicated greatness. The music was nice and did most of the work.

How come Logan didn't age between 1865 - 2000 but aged drastically between 2000 - 2016?

Technically The Wolverine had an R-rated cut, but this would be the first X-Men movie after Deadpool released with an R-rating.

fucking awful wolverine. imagine if toby mcquire was still spiderman. and how dated that would be. same for chriatooger reeves. fuck him. destroying the character for decades.

...................

That's stupid, like really stupid. The Toby analogy doesn't work because the X-Men movies have always been a bit more "serious" in tone and haven't changed tone much at all, you could argue some films are a bit dated because of simply....being made from an earlier date, but other than that there is nothing dated about them compared to new movies

Meanwhile Raimi's Spider-Man tried to do a universe that was based on old school comic camp, it was intentionally corny and cheesey much to the pleasure of some and dismay of others, Toby still being Spider-Man is a completely different thing because there really aren't movies being put out in the same tone of the movies he was in

Also unlike Toby, Jackman is a good actor....the only things about him that aren't fitting of the character are his looks and the fact that he isn't a manwhore....other than that he does a good enough job acting wise

What if it's grindhouse schlock kino?

>The Snikt of Us
>Not The Snikt of Bubs

One job!

> that lil scared Laura
i wanna pet her Sup Forums

That's not an expression of fear
it's excitement

Spill.com's new identity.

the movie gonna be shit. are we really going to forget the track record of lost X-Men 2 movies?

Movie looks edgy and depressing. Probably gory too.

I like edgy, depressing and gory for Weapon X.

Sounds like Wolverine

More like "then I remember the last two Wolverine films"

No, The Wolverine sucked, don't even bother defending it anybody who was about to

Wait, this is confirmed to be R-Rated?

His healing factor stopped working right. Also I really don't think Jackman looks that different between X3 and DoFP personally

>Wait, this is confirmed to be R-Rated?
Yeap. Yes. Yeah.

Is this made by the same guy that did The Wolverine?

The trailer was amazing, but I don't wanna get my hopes up too much and then get disappointed. It's very hit and miss when it comes to the X-Men movies and all Wolverine solo ones were shit so far.

>Is this made by the same guy that did The Wolverine?

Yes.

>he trailer was amazing, but I don't wanna get my hopes up too much and then get disappointed

You're not alone in that. It's hype inducing, yes but we've been betrayed and disappointed for far too many times than the boy who cried wolf.

All the more reason to see it.

I think it would have been better without the song. The song is so normie-core.

Fuck off Sup Forums no one cares about your preference for vaporware and throat singing..

Will Marvel have to change back to regular Logan from Old Man Logan once this drops? I mean the X-Men is the only franchise they are deliberately making as different from the movies as possible....

chicky checked, and that song in conjunction with xavier saying "logan, what have you done?" added on to i just read old man logan about a week before, so i knew what he done did. gave me chills. the song was a very manipulative choice, but in a goodway, to set the mood

The script leaked a long time ago and it was nothing special, kind of boring actually.

sabertooth is behind everything

cool fanfic

?

I don't have the link but it was posted here (or maybe on Sup Forums) a few months back, basically everything in the trailer lines up with it

I doubted their choice for Laura but seeing this pic, I think I'll giver her a chance.

>marvelcucks hating on X-Men franchise
Marvel will never make a movie as good as X2, DoFP, First Class.
Crying won't get the rights back to the jewish mouse.

Hyped for this movie. Looks like it's gonna be an emotional ride.

>Marvel will never make a movie as good as X2, DoFP, First Class.

You tried.

I'm glad they went with someone who actually looks like a kid and not some 30 year old trying to pass themselves off as a teenager

>What is Doctor Strange

>doctor strange
>anything more than a 6/10

>Being this much of a pleb

I'm sorry if you haven't had the education necessary to fully appreciate the film.

>doctor strange
>film
It's a recycled flick at most. Add some new visuals and kids (like you) will jump on Disney's cock real quick

Does she have the same slow aging as Logan or does she age a lot slower than him? Her healing factor is a lot better than Logan's that's for sure.

No? They didn't drop Deadpool once he got a movie and I doubt they are now also going to throw X-23 under the bus because she's in this film.

> pic
That Laura, when? Can she abandon Wolverine title now pls.

I don't think so at all. An X-men movie that didn't have them all wallowing in self pity and the state of mutants being all shit AGAIN would've been more interesting honestly.

Using Johnny Cash in a trailer is fucking cheating. Was tearing up in the theater and getting mad about it.

That said, if the movie doesn't live up to the emotional intensity of that song it's shot itself in the foot.

>The Snikt of Us

Her healing factor is better because she has less adamantium in her body.

>Any Marvel movie
>Better than DoFP

Pretty much, though most have moved on into the actual industry which is where some of their info comes from so nows it's mainly Corey and his entourage faffing about Austin TX.

Facts right here

I'm an MCUfag and I just... couldn't get into it. Everyone else did but I was meh

>claws out in the trailer and on the god damn poster
They already fucked up.

Wait, is it really? That's a bit disappointing, The Wolverine was bland as fuck.

No Old Man Barton,
No Hulk Gang,
No symbiot Dinosaurs,
No Ghost Riders,
No Red Skull
No Cannibal Hulk,

Why bother?

Personally this was what i would expect to see from an true Old Man Logan Trailer:

youtube.com/watch?v=3XgwT_BPVD4

This man understands. Winter Soldier might be a contender though

The Wolverine was a terribly mediocre movie that made incomprehensible decissions when it came to actually adapting things.
This is the same director, so I'll just assume it'll be a terribly mediocre movie that makes incomprehensible decissions when it comes to actually adapting things.

>mfw Marvel can actually make old man logan on their own as well, like it's about Bucky killing avengers while under mind control or some shit

>Marvel doing straight up adaptions of their comics

?

Yeah. Winter Soldier is definitely up there. I was gonna add it in the post but forgot.

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of.

Scripts get "leaked" here all the goddamn time, there was the supposed "leak" for Civil War.

Even if you're telling the truth, no one has any reason to believe you.

It bothers me that The Wolverine was setting out to adapt the most adaptable X-Men story ever printed, but instead of just making a somewhat grounded movie out of a comparatively grounded comic, they added random mutant powers to every second character, a dumb-ass subplot about stealing a healing factor and an adamantium cyborg samurai final boss.
I don't know how this movie somehow looked at the comics and thought "this story has too much emotional impact, let's drown it out with comic book silliness"

.t DCUfag

No, none whatsoever.

>concerned with the dialog
>not the beautiful, contemplative, visuals
user, pls.

Do you want to watch the movie or listen to your radio serials.

Korey "Nigger Grave Diggert" Coleman

Yeah they made some bad choices in that movie but to me it felt like a lot of those decisions were made by Fox and not Mangold himself desu, like they felt this movie needed more action to sell the movie to more people.

At least from what I've seen so far it looks like Fox is staying out of the way this time and letting Mangold do his own thing and I've liked everything he's had to say about Logan so far. So I'm gonna stay cautiously optimistic about this one.

The only thing Fox might be accountable for is the Silver Samurai armor, and even that is debatable, since Mangold claimed he wanted the third act to veer into more fantastical territory than the rest of the movie.

I've read the leak for "Logan". It was an early draft, but it got too much right to be dismissed as conjecture. It came out before we knew anything about the project, and was right about

>Set in 2024
>Mutants being near-extinct and living on the fringes of society
>Logan working as a limousine driver in New Mexico and caring for Xavier
>Xavier having dementia
>Logan running afoul of a local gang, the Bombers
>Logan being pursued by the Reavers
>Laura being a child that Logan crosses paths

It still bore differences from what the movie is shaping up, though. There was no Caliban, and both William Stryker and Kitty Pryde were supposed to appear.

The big revelation, if anyone's curious.

Laura indeed is a clone of Logan. Xavier convinces him they should escort Laura to a mutant safe haven, which in the leak is run by Kitty. Xavier is killed halfway through and an adult male clone labled X-24 is sent to kill Logan and Laura. Logan dies fighting it, while Laura manages to make it to the haven and find a new home.

It's not a straight cut OML adaptation. When will you idiots learn and stop the retarded "not muh." foXmen is a lot more like a fanfic than a direct adaptation from a source material. You don't get a 1:1. Fuck you don't even get a 1:100

>and I've liked everything he's had to say about Logan so far

Such as?

It'll be the last time for both Jackman and Stewart to try their hand at this universe, and you can quote me on that, so you better believe it'll at least be worth watching.

Yup, I don't understand why they aren't playing up that angle. It's like the most interesting part of the story...

Thoughts such as these:

>Hugh and I have been talking about what we would do since we were working on the last one, and for both of us it was this requirement that, to be even interested in doing it, we had to free ourselves from some assumptions that had existed in the past, and be able to change the tone a bit. Not merely to change for change’s sake, but also to make something that’s speaking to the culture now, that’s not just the same style — how many times can they save the world in one way or another? How can we construct a story that’s built more on character and character issues, in a way as if it almost wasn’t a superhero movie, yet it features their powers and struggles and themes?

>One of the things we all thought about as we worked on this film is, well, we don’t want to rebuild everything. We want to have some questions. In order to make a different Logan, and a different tone of a Wolverine movie, we felt like we couldn’t hold on to every tradition established in all the movies religiously, or we’d be trapped by the decisions made before us. So we questioned whether Logan’s healing factor causes him to heal without even a scar. We imagined that it may have when he was younger, but with age, he’s getting older and ailing. Perhaps his healing factor no longer produces baby-soft skin. So we imagined he heals quickly, still, but it leaves a scar. The simple idea was that his body would start to get a little more ravaged with a kind of tattooing of past battles, lacerations that remain of previous conflicts.

And also this:

>This represents] to me the kind of aggressive, classical Wolverine action that we want in the movie – more of something that fans have been asking for, for a really long time. We’ve been limited in one way or another from giving it to them, but I think we’ve got the go-ahead to really go for it on this picture. So we’re really trying to deliver what folks have always imagined those kind of battles would look like. There is a lot of high-octane action in the movie. We’re just trying to do it very differently and very viscerally.

F

Haven't read the comic. But I must admit (as someone who remains pissed as fuck at Jackman's casting as Wolvie in the first place) that the trailer did, indeed, get me "hyped". It almost makes it seem like a capefilm with the tone of, I dunno, a more melodramatic pre-Suicide Squad David Ayer film, or something. It didn't "feel" like a cape trailer.
