It felt a little rushed. It fell into a pattern of scary stuff, chill, scary stuff, with no real consequence for the main cast. They did a good job a reminding us of the danger by having minor characters killed off.
I wanna see a different cut of the film. I suspect they greatly reduced the bully's role in the final act. They took a lot of effort to give him a back story and even cast sympathy on him for him to go out like he did. I think the rescue sequence was too bloated and they cut him out by killing him immediately.
Richie was funny, but the Ed actor had better comedic timing. The diapers they made the boys wear at the quarry were distracting. The Jewish kid is gay and his fear being a grotesque woman makes sense. Pennywise was good, but that lazy eye shit was too pervasive.
