I'm an American born to Cuban parents. I was born in Miami, FL. I consider myself entirely Americanized.

I honestly don't have strong feelings either way about the government. They seem inept and corrupt, but not any more than other second world countries. My parents, of course, hate the Castros and communism in general.

As for the country, again, I've never seen it or lived there, but everyone tells me it's beautiful. I'd like to visit, but I feel no strong desire to do so.

My mother immigrated legally from Cuba with her mother. They absolutely hate that country.

They're also pretty annoyed that Obongo is easing the restrictions on it.

I would like to visit there, but only after we annex it.

Sup Marco

Hopefully you do annex it. Cuba is a tropical paradise with lush beaches and weather, not to mention music, women, food and old cars.
Imagine building a 5 star casino+hotel right in front of the lush beach. Would put the Vegas strip to shame.

Cuban exiles are naturally-redpilled, based and bro-tier.

With a formerly 50% white population and a priviledge location Cuba would have been a developed country by now but Communism ruins everything and as a result everybody worthwhile has already left the island. Only the niggers and communists remain.

The Castros stole land and assets that never belonged to them, and claimed it was all in the name of independence. Just like the farce with his so called ''goodwill'' when he decided to teach the peasants how to read and write.

Well it would be good and bad. I've still got family there, and annexing it however unlikely would give them a better life. But since its been so isolated there aren't tons of hotels, and the natural landscapes are pretty well untouched from pollution. It would be pretty sad to watch that get destroyed.

>second world countries
That's even a thing?

Got a story to share with you all.

When Fidel Castro went through the country teaching the analphabets how to read and write, he gave them a document called: ''Ley de reforma agraria.'' Which roughly translates to Agrarian reform law. This document states that the lands that the peasants owned would be given to Fidel Castro in exchange for literacy. In other words, Fidel owns the entire country and all of its assets + livestock, and he did this by literally taking candy from a baby.

>annex it
>on 2016
Ok, I'm pretty sure that you're a kid/teen

Was there last Nov shit posting on Sup Forums for about an hour in my hotel.
Got some flag collectors a rare.

Cuba -> US is probably one of the most likely possible annexations in the near future though. If the government of Cuba were to collapse or be overthrown the succeeding government would be so overwhelmingly pro-American it might as well be a state.

It's a possible scenario. What happens when the Castros die? Will they remain following their idealistic and nation destroying communism, or will they try to improve as a country? Country could be split between loyalists and new revolutionaries. The U.S.A could intervene, and indeed annex the country if they see enough potential in it.

My parents had property back in Cuba, not really sure how wealthy they were, but they lost all of that in the revolution.

Hey, Puerto Rico can be a state too, why not?

Cubans who go to USA become right wingers and don't want anything to do with the left. Cuban here, same shit happened to me even though I live in Spain

You know that Mexico has been pro-America (Benito Juarez) government in the past, follow your logic we should be part of US today, is not that simple, because the Americans(gringos) themselves didn't want it, because every single Cuban would go wherever he want in the US, and boy that's a problem even in Mexico
Sorry if I have a bad English, I'm working it

>Hey, Puerto Rico can be a state too, why not?
Have they made any progress in that though? Last time I remember hearing about it was like 3-4 years ago when they had a vote to see whether the public would support applying for statehood.

>Cubans who go to USA become right wingers
Yeah its pretty cool. If we eventually annexed them it might be one of the most republican filled states at the start, but I bet libshits would flock there because of how exotic it is.

We already have Guantanamo Bay so part of Cuba is already American soil.

>kids talking about politics
See ya

you mexicans are the most deplorable latin people out there. it's truly shameful that you live beside USA. Peruvians are uglier but they're great people. if fairness existed you'd be in another part of that continent, garbage.

BUILD WALL

The people there are pretty based. At the bars guys will be pinching girls asses and if some white knight goes to defend her they reply with; "What are you a maricón?"

They ruined Miami

It's basically Spain

>Cuba absolute living standard shithole for 95% of the normal population before Castro
>Half a century of of forced embargo by last superpower against pisspoor island.

>Still has lower illiteracy rates than the fucking US
>lower infant-death-rate
>better healthcare for average citizen
>studying is free

As much as Castros Cuba has to rely on repressive methods to function, the arguments against them in the larger context are obvious bullshit.

Compared with comparable shitholes like the absolute desaster, that is Haiti, Cuba seems like a heavenly place.

Not to mention the billions the US government put into open terrorism and daily propaganda against Cuba. Defying that makes me want to give them mad respect.

>Implying pic not relevant

New generation of Cubans are cucks though.
