US College and High school has more homework than China's counterpart (maybe not high school , but still a lot), how you enjoy your life with those SAT, ACT, and papers
I lived in China for a year. Yeah, overseas Chinese food is for the mostly a bastardization. The real stuff is much better. I can't explain everything in one post, but there's a lot of variety in regions. Southwest likes spicy, southeast likes sweet. Sichuan people put Chinese peppers in a lot of food which makes it numbing and spicy. Cantonese like sweet and mild things, like their barbecue pork or duck which is made with sweet sauce. Up in the north they like more meaty things, like Mongolian hot pot with fatty beef and kebabs. Some vegetables that are popular all around are Chinese cabbage, potato, tomato, my personal favorite is eggplant. They're also big into mushrooms and tofu and that sort of thing. Chinese enoki mushroom is awesome. I'm not sure if there is any authentic stuff in Netherlands but there might just be one. Otherwise China is always there.

Dude, high school was a blast in retrospect, at least in my experience. Homework was really not that bad, you just needed to put the effort into the assignments—usually didn't take more than 1-2 hours at most.
I took the ACT and if you had actually learned the separate subjects up to the required level and had a decent head on your shoulders you should have aced it (I got a 35 with the highest being 36). A good deal of the questions were common sense imo, especially on the Reading and English portions. Of course, you're stressed for a week or two beforehand but it isn't that bad.
So if you like trying to compare it to how many Asian families raise their children, it isn't the best one.
We kicked their arses in the Opium Wars. Us and a bunch of sepoys from the EIC smashed the shit out of their oh-so-superior culture and brought them back down to Earth.
