Everyone's talked about the rednecks plotline, but can we talk about how awful the Cartman/Heidi breakup story was? Jesus fucking christ, what a boring piece of shit.

who the fuck is Heidi?
Cartman's bitch.
Yeah, it was really bad.
It didn't actually make much sense to be honest.
What was that part with cartman crying while wearing the shawl? What was the point. It's like they changed the plot halfway through but kept that part in there despite it not actually contributing anything to the episode.
Like it was just poorly written:
>is cartman just bored of Heidi or does he still like her?
>if cartman is just bored of heidi why is he imaging himself as the victim? Is it just him subconsciously creating an excuse to break up? if so thats fucking retarded and poorly explained
>if the plot was supposed to be alexa literally replacing heidi (with replacement being a theme of the episode), then why all that shit of him twisting heidi into an abuser in his imagination?
South Park really has jumped the shark. The real south park way of breaking up would be having a different unrelated plot, and then right at the end cartman says "oh I'm breaking up with you, I've found someone else" and them him with alexa, or his new redneck alexa or something. Like they did with kenny's return
Yeah it was weird, it didnt even feel like i was watching south park. It wasnt funny and was just boring.
>b-b-but theyre setting up a base for the season
I dont care, it was shit and the last 2 seasons before this were shit. They stopped being funny and think they are gods of social commentary.
I was hoping last season was a fluke but it looks like South Park has officially lost its way. I didn't laugh one time during last night's episode.
>poorly written
t. virgin who's never dated a girl
The only funny parts of the last 2 seasons was the first episode with PC principal. Him being a total Frat Bro but being PC made me laugh for one episode and then it wore off quick. The other only funny part was when Garrison as Trump was doing a stand up act for his rally saying he was sticking his fingers in womens assholes. Other than that, this show sucks now.
Thank gos, I thought I was alone
What the fuck is Trey doing honestly? I've seen all over the fucking internet, myself included, say
>we just want episodes about boys being fucking boys
And Trey even comes out and says he prefers episodes like that akin to AWESOME-O and the critter Christmas. So why the fuck did he make another politically charged unfunny episode. Trey god damn just make a fucking episode about naive children getting caught up in adult affairs. Yes I'm mad
I disliked the lasts two seasons, but never before an episode failed to make me laugh at least once. The whole thing felt aimless, pointless and boring.
If this is what we should expect from the rest of this season, South Park should be cancelled.
Boogers and cum
The Carman/Heidi stuff was among the worst thing I've seen in Sohth Park
Was never funny. Why did they continue having them date between seasons? If hey started this season with them already broken up nobody would be given a shit
By far the worst South Park ever
Maybe it's Matt?
It's not Matt, he has had barely any creative input for many seasons
I don't think Matt has ever done the writting just behind the scenes jew stuff and voices
trump campaigned for a wall for 2 years and isnt gonna build one.
people arent in control
>cartman wasnt a alt right trump supporting meme poster pushing for the jewish question during the election
why
brainlets
That episode was alright but they all lost any sense of identity due to the season long 10 parter. Every episode was exactly the same something about Whole Foods and crap. The idea of a 10 part continuous season was neat but in a show like South Park that was made to just throw on a random episode and laugh it was a horrible idea. Try watching a random episode from the last three seasons. Or better yet, try to fucking tell them apart
Care to elaborate?
>politically charged
This. I'm so sick of politics. I can't watch football anymore because of all the political bullshit. Now it looks like South Park can't be an escape any more either. I have enough real life in my real life. I need some entertainment in my entertainment.
Oh no, I agree. The Yelper episode was a rare exception. I think the serialization was the worst thing to happen. They did a couple of 3 episode arcs that were more or less successful. Then they experimented with continuity in season 18 and that led to the last two abortions, seasons 19 and 20.
No, he's a mass replyfag looking for (You)'s. He's only here to shitpost.
So have Matt Stone and Trey Parker officially gone full SJW?
I think the best case scenario is they're just struggling with the transition back from season long continuity, but the worst and more likely case is that they're just old and out of touch at this point.
Trey Parker is almost 50 years old at this point, his concept of a boy being a boy is probably faded to a distant memory at this point.
I'm really hoping they don't renew their contract after they're done with season 23 and move on to other things. All of my favorite stuff from Matt and Trey in recent years has been their work outside of television, stuff like Book of Mormon and Stick of Truth. I'm still looking forward to The Fractured But Whole, even though the SJW stuff has put me off it a bit.
Argh this.
South parks political commentary a has always been toothless
Holy fuck that hiedi sideplot was so bad it's like I was watching a meta parody of 18-19 seasons.
It's very strange how the characters haven't aged past 9-10 but their storylines became completely adult about 5 years ago and haven't changed.
Trey is a 45 year old man with a white stripper wife and a black son. He's changed.
I don't think so they're just out of touch and unfunny. Politics aside, the episode had no jokes. I mean the hillbilly Alexas were sort of "heh" worthy but damn
I cant even watch that episode. It makes me never want to eat out again.
He just said that like a few months ago
google.com
Yeah I just think they have lost touch.
Oh well we still have Mike judge
It's a reference to tv shows and movies that have an abusive relationship in them. I liked it because it's giving us back the old cartman( I hope) while still showing Heidi literally did nothing wrong.
>Trey Parker is almost 50 years old at this point, his concept of a boy being a boy is probably faded to a distant memory at this point.
This made me sad
>Buckle up buckaroos!
Bruce Jenner crushing random pedestrians in every other scene had me in stitches
It was funny but they did it like 4 more times and while I appreciate them addressing it when literally no other news source would, they ran the joke into the ground
Yeah that whole plotline was a boring waste of time I'm surprised they even kept Heidi as a character
>the absolute state of american "comedy"
They could've taken the Cartman thinking she's abusive plot far further, and should've, but him being a shitty boyfriend was funny.
They were making fun of relationship drama.
In the world of tinder and casual sex, relationships are completely pointless unless you're looking to start a family. You can have a friend with benefits or a wife, but this plot line was to show that the thing in between called a "relationship" is kinda stupid cause it has no purpose so you fill it with bullshit drama
>virgins don't understand that female are psychological demons that always try to blame the dude for every problem in a relationship
It makes sense why Sup Forums hates this episode.
that was pretty fucking worthless
Maybe its because I'm old enough to pay attention and know better but it seems like everything is politically charged these days. I can't have conversations with my own parents these days without it turning into them regurgitating the verbal diarrhea they read off of fox news that morning. I can't have conversations with my classmates without hearing why it's wrong that i jokingly use the word, "faggot."
I want off this timeline.
