Not that guy, but in Christianity you are suppose to treat your body as a temple and for women to remain modest.
Treating your body as a temple depends on how strict the form is. That could mean not poisoning your body with drugs, to no tattoos or piercings, to caffeine being sword off.
For modesty women even encouraged to wear hats in church, while men had to remove them.
So yeah, nail polish could actually be frowned upon. However, it's not a commonly held belief in America today.
