What is the best movie of 2017 so far?

It

Good Time

This. The standout Lovecraftian horror movie of the year for me

Mother!

Literally, the only 2017 movie I watched was Alien: Covenant. AMA

Lego Batman

none

this is the only one i've really liked so far

Raw
A Ghost Story
Dunkirk

But the MOTY will be The Killing of A Sacred Deer, mark my words.

Dunkino
Not negotiable.

My favorites this year:
>Brigsby Bear
>Good Time
>A Ghost Story
>mother!
>John Wick Chapter 2
>Baby Driver

Raw was fucking great.

Sacred Deer I'm really excited for, but I'm afraid my experience might get ruined. Saw The Lobster with my family and while I personally fucking loved it (the first half is better than the second) they absolutely hated it. Won't see this with them this time but I worry.

What did you think of the lost city of z

Get some taste, Reddit!

You missed a couple.

Haven't seen "Dunkirk".

"Baby Driver" is a 6/10. The direction was fun, but the screenplay was too Hollywood-y in a really boring way towards the end.

"The Lost City of Z" is a 6/10 as well. I'm huge fan of James Gray, but this was mostly a boring Hollywood-y biopic with only occasional charms in the way of post-ironic awkwardness. As much as I'd hate to admit it, "Embrace of the Serpent", a movie with a similar setting, was miles better.

R. I. P. Ric Menello.

*If that's not clear enough, I only include the 8's and 7's in my list, and cutoff before the 6's. Doesn't mean I didn't like the 6's, they are literally "okay".

Either Dunkirk or Get Out. Really liked Don't Breathe and Okja aswell.

I didn't enjoy GotG2 or Logan as much as other people did but they were still good capeshit movies that I'll probably rewatch at some stage. Also Wonderwoman was way better than it had a right to be
