Do people in eastern europe watch american tv-shows?

Do people in eastern europe watch american tv-shows?

Is this a serious question, you fucking idiot?

t. Eastern European

When I was in Ukraine, I watched some TV in the hotel and saw an American crime drama show with ridiculous Ukrainian voice dubbing. They didn't replace the original English voices, they just talked louder over the English

No, we watch reruns of Alarm für Cobra 11 24/7

Did you get some of those 9/10 Ukrainian escorts for 10$ a pop?

No, American TV shows have emotion and the ex-communists can't understand that.

I used to pirate various shows.
These days I only pirate GOT because despite being utter shit I want to see how I ends.
American shows are in decline.

Wait, you actually replace the base audio in capitalist pig land? Lips out of sync make me dizzy. Maybe we're just used to it.

>Is this a serious question, you fucking idiot?
so n-no?

I mean we don't watch yours.

Most series are dubbed that way. No tv station has the time to bother with different audio channels for 200 episodes. They just lower the audio when people are talking.
The plebs that watch those don't care.

Why would you? We don't have the money to make anything decent, so we watch some turkish dude making cars explode.

Eveything is Americanized everywhere. We're watching the same shit as you (plus some local content and random Turkish and Indian soap operas for the grandmas)

Most countries in Europe just have subtitles, only a few of them have to have dubbing over everything like in Germany.
I would honestly consider living in an another country just because of that if that was the case in my country, dubbing for anything other than animation is completely retarded.

You are used to it but if you weren't, you'd recognize for the garbage it is.

At least with dubbing they create some new content - voice acting - that's admittedly usually inferior to the original. With voice-over translation you by definition get worse content by having the voices of actual actors droned out by one monotone voice.

Bulgarian here.
99% of the tv series are dubbed and 99% of movies on tv are with subtitles.

What are you talking about? The one-man doing the dubbing is something from the bootleg 90s VHS tapes.

Where do you live? I live in Poland and over here virtually all foreign-language movies and shows use one-man dubbing. Someone also said that was the case in the Ukraine too.

If they got rid of that shit in your post-commie country then consider yourself lucky.

I'm no fan of dubbing either but it's still a lot less shitty than the one-man dubbing or voice-over translation we get in post-commie countries. And if anything is retarded it's moving to another country over something as ridiculous as this.

you watch turkish and indian tv in eastern europe?

>you
Old women are watching them, yes.
Also Turkey produces a lot of soap operas for some reason.

>And if anything is retarded it's moving to another country over something as ridiculous as this.
I don’t know how is it in Poland, but in Germany EVERYTHING is dubbed. Films, TV shows, games, everything. In cinemas too. That’s quite ridiculous if you ask me.

that is really surprising desu

I know, I was born there and spent my early childhood there.

In Poland, EVERYTHING is one-man dubbed except for movies at the theater - which get subs - and cartoons - which usually get "regular" dubbing. Try looking something like this up on YouTube if you want to hear what real garbage sounds like. German dubbing is great by comparison.

>Also Turkey produces a lot of soap operas for some reason.
True dat. Some of these are quite popular in my country (Mexico) . My mom is a fan of I called her Feriha.

Emotions are for fags

>I mean we don't watch yours.
No fucking shit, America exports its garbage TV shows to all of the world. In countries in Eastern Europe, and just in general in poorer countries, they get older shows because they're cheaper to get.

If you live in a dub country you're a subhuman.

Doesn't Mexico and India do the same? I can't believe people watch that garbage.

Here in Spain we do the same, but only for those reality TV shows for some reason, normal shows get completely dubbed.

Yes but there's nothing good left to watch anymore. Used to watch up to 12 shows per week in 2005-2012. Don't know if it's me growing older and not being easily impressed or everything being produced being total crap.

No, not American. I do watch a lot of British panel shows, though.

I stopped watching tv 10 years ago

Sure, some of them.

>Doesn't Mexico and India do the same? I can't believe people watch that garbage
Yeah. Most of these are shitty anyways.
Also, the Feriha soap opera is completely dubbed.

>dressed to fuck
slavs are badass

TV shows in general are just shit, why waste my time on them when there's film
