Roland Tembo is the best character in the Jurassic Park film series, prove me wrong.

he's bald

I find this so comfy, I wish Hammond wouldve done it

...

The island idea they initially tried in the first film was much better

he literally did nothing wrong and stupid fucking liberals got him and many other people murdered for no good reason

Roland survived. Ajay was killed, which affected him deeply though.

The thing about Ajay is that many of his scenes were deleted, so if you werent paying attention you wouldnt think he was rolands best friend and right hand man

watch the deelted scene where ajay tells him about Ingens offer. if they kept that, his death whouldve made more impact

I re-watched the TLW last night for the first time in about ten years. Dr. Sarah Hardin and Nick Van Owen were complete retards to be honest, I rolled my eyes so hard when they took the baby T-Rex back to their truck.

The only "good" guys in this movie were Roland Tembo and arguably Dr. Ian Malcolm who was pretty sensible and thought it was retarded to even be on the island.

I don't own it on DVD, are the deleted scenes on YouTube or something?

Dr Harding walking around with the shirt with baby T-Rex blood on it was so fucking stupid, she's supposed to be experienced with this shit yet she makes amateur mistakes all the time and got lots of people needlessly killed.

None of that would have happened if they just let Tembo do his job and stayed the fuck away.

They is, nigga

wag1 brah, cheers senpai

>Rex just fed, so he won't stalk us.
>You mean Eddie? The man saved our lives! Show some respect.
>Oh you're breaking my heart! Let's get this moveable feast underway!
>*Theme music plays*

The Lost World had such a good soundtrack.

I like how in that scene Nick is all of a sudden bothered about human life after releasing all those dangerous animals in the middle of their camp.

TLW soundtrack is great senpai, there's a lot of problems with it and it is a weaker film compared to the first one but they nailed that aspect of it perfectly.

>The actors for Muldoon and Roland are both dead
>we're stuck with Chris Pratt for the next two movies

why

Isla nublar is comfy as fuck. Where did they filmed it? I wanna live there.

Hawaii

It was sarah and vince vaugns fault that eddie got killed in the first place.

The Lost World sets it up to sympathise with Harding and Van Owen's side of it but honestly only Roland had the right idea, they are dangerous animals and unless you respect them like he does you will end up dead.
>muh animal rights
They belong to InGen are are regarded as being freaks of nature, no doubt Isla Sorna is populated with endangered or even unique native species so controlling their numbers at the very least is important. Of course InGen had their ulterior motive.

Those two characters are so fucking stupid it hurts.

>Jurassic Park

More like Jurassic shart

Was he better than Roland?

>Tembo could've saved a lot of people if the "good guys" didn't steal his ammo

Tembo literally had a head shot lined up with a big game gun on that T-Rex and could have ended the problem there and then but Nick had to be a fucking retard again.

This film redpilled the fuck out of me.

The liberal characters were repulsive dumbass hypocrites.

Every time I see Vince Vaughan I have a residual hate for his character from this film, even though he's not a Liberal irl.

Same, the "good guys" in this movie are idiots who caused more problems than they solved with their idealism. In comparison Tembo respected these animals, he knows how dangerous they are and that he may have to kill them and is prepared to.

I'm curious, is this an accurate relflection of the book by Michael Crichton it was based on? You could hardly describe Crichton as a liberal.

Vince Vaughn is a cool guy irl, nothing like his character in TLW.

The book is very different from the movie. I don't remember much about it anymore but I remember thinking it wasn't very good at the time.

I liked how Malcolm and Tembo were apparently the only characters with common sense in the whole film

ohhhh shitttt the nostalgia

sierrachest.com/gfx/games/Jurassic/box/Jurassic_Park_-_Operation_Genesis_-_Manual_-_PC.pdf

Did anyone else have his action figure?

I need to read the books I tend to like Crichton's work, if his idea was to show in TLW that liberal idealism is sometimes retarded he certainly did a good job of it.

I dont remember because its been so long but I do remember that the book and movie are so different that something like that wouldnt even come up.

I've just been paid and I need a novel or two to read, I suppose I should get around to them.

...

Try Chricton's Next. it's pretty good.

>Activist
>Actively causes the deaths of dozens of people because of retarded decisions

What did they mean by this?

The JP novels are pretty fun reads. Very different from the movies. The third movie is basically made up of a bunch of scenes from the books that were cut from the first two movies.

Vince was wanting to expose those hippies for their hypocrisy

Vince is based as fuck in real life, wouldn't surprise me to be honest.

Thanks, user. I'll put it on the list.
Interesting, the third movie was ok-ish. It was nice to see Sam Neill again who elevated pretty much anything he is in.

Though he was younger then so could have fallen for the bs, or he was trying to be a bigger name and being in a Spielberg movie is a good way to do that

Anyone else think Lost World was the best?

>stegasaurus

what a cheeky typo

If only Eddie had survived, that scene where he tries to stop the trailer from falling off the cliff is so good. If it wasn't for Dr. Harding and Nick he wouldn't have been a light snack for a pair of T-rex.

Purely for dinosaurs it's the best JP movie but the story is pretty bad

I kinda felt sad for him

man actors used to have fuckhuge animatronics to react to. nowadays they get a tennis ball if they're lucky.

It's my favorite because of the San Diego scenes with the T-rex.

Even when the T-rex came back he didn't give up, true hero to be honest.

>it could be up and running, in less than a month

I really doubt that..

Well possibly, but it would hardly be safe for the public.

Yeah until, well... Spino..

so if Nedry managed to find the east dock, he would've just dropped off the embryos for his Biosyn contact and then returned to the control room to reset things right?

Jurassic Park and The Lost World used CGI when it was appropriate, it worked well. Animatronics is superior in every way though.

Ingen would have opened a game park for hunting eventually, right? What if there was a movie about a hunting expedition into the park to try and bag the big 3 of dino predators: velociraptor, spinosaurus, and t rex. Would you guys watch it?

Has anyone read Dragon Teeth yet? Sounds interesting.

Nope, he'd have left with the boat. He had to turn off the fences, he must have known that would be discovered quickly, and the storm meant the island would be out of contact with the mainland until he'd made off clean.

>a light snack for a pair of T-rex
Show some respect.

I need to re-watch the first movie, from what I remember that was his plan though.

I thought it had the best dinosaur scenes
I love the whole raptor sequence minus the girl kicking that raptor

So he was a sabateur and wasn't just trying to hand over company secrets? Like I said here though it's been a while since I last watched it.

the gymnastics kick scene was so cringe

Nah he intended to leave with the boat, theres legit no reason for him to go back since its quite obvious to everyone there hes the cause of the fences going down.
I guess he assumed the storm/dinos would kill everyone so nobody would ever find out what he did.

Yeah the girl kicking the raptor was cringey and totally out of character for the rest of the film. The raptor would have torn her to pieces.

according to the book his only job was to drop off the embryos. He only turned off the power to the fences so he could get into the cold storage and also create a distraction. The plan was never to destroy the park.

How would the first movie had turned out if Roland was there to team up with Muldoon?

I don't think he was a saboteur, just a short sighted opportunist. He had absolutely no reason to go back though, since he obviously thought his paycheck wasn't worth shit and he's only in it for himself.

I can't read about paleontologist without regreting of not becoming one. Digging bones in the desert in the middle of fucking nowhere, comfy af.

I thought his ultimate plan was to retrieve the embryos and board the boat. I thought he had a deadline until the boat left dock

>hunting dinosaurs with a shotgun
Stupid.

>out of character
You mean for the raptor for not tearing her apart?

and so was that little trailer home Grant and Ellie had, that thing looked so comfy

They would both have some rather fetching new hunting trophy's for their homes.

Please don't.

...

>tries to pursue notorious pack hunters who rank among the deadliest close combat predators that ever lived
>doesn't set up bait or lures and doesn't lay out any traps
>only takes a shotgun

what do you think?

It's a big game gun not a shotgun senpai

youtube.com/watch?v=Duf35QiVKzA

>making less than 20k per year
>having to work outside in the hot sun
>never finding anything of real value except for bone fragments and rocks
yeah nah

I think that(besides the initial Trex attack in JP1) LW has more fun dinosaur attack scenes and a lot of fun characters.
But JP1 is still just so much better, it has that sense of wonder and amazement that all its sequels were never able to capture.
LW is still really good and a completely underrated sequel but it does not hold a candle to the original.

>not using a shotgun to hunt dinosaurs

this movie 100% secured the spas-12 as the most badass shotgun of all time

No he's talking about Muldoon

Tembo was using a modified elephant rifle

Wrong link:

youtube.com/watch?v=0oCJpGTn1j0

He wasn't pursuing them. He was escorting Elli, and realized they were being hunted. He tried to turn the ambush on them, but got outsmarted.

forgot pic

Ah sorry, my mistake. Yes Muldoon's plan to hunt the raptors was pretty stupid.

Well as far as dinosaur scenes go, JP3 had more scenes than the original but not even close to LW

Too bad the gun looks like it has autism

>ambush

I will grant you he might have been trying to divert attention away from Ellie, but no, he wasn't trying to ambush them, he was full on trying to hunt the fuckers down but he got outflanked

How would dinosaurs actually act in real life? In the movies they're practically monsters that don't hesitate to kill humans every chance they get.

It's less than i make now and i don't really like my job. A humble living is fine if you enjoying your job.

No, they were ambushing HIM. he tried to flank them and turn the Ambush.

you're both right. he got caught in an instance trapped with the raptors, he had to protect Ellie. He utilized his hunting skills and knowledge of the raptor but ended up dying.

Did anyone play the sidescrollingTLW vidya for Playstation? Playing as a raptor and ripping apart the human mercs was the tightest shit.

youtube.com/watch?v=zx9wQNdLAKE

He obviously knew he might die, I don't think he thought his chances were good against the raptors. Though he did buy enough time for Ellie to get away.

predators would try to kill anything they could reasonably kill, if they encountered resistance if they possessed intelligence they would back off and never try again or they would keep trying and eventually get killed off

herbivores would herbivore and be skiddish as is their way

Did anyone watch The Making of Jurassic Park?

Book is very different. The ingen expedition is all of 3 guys. Roland doesn't exist. Malcolm spends most of the story doped up. The ingen guys pretty much die due to their own dumb. The trex shipping never happens, book ends when Malcolm and the others leave in a boat.
