were an issue in the Brexit debate in the UK parliament yesterday. The UK government stated that abolishing the tampon tax is part of why the UK needs to leave the EU.
Are you for or against 0% taxes on female hygiene products? Will male hygiene products also be set to 0%?
Charles Campbell
Is my soap tax free? Is my shampoo tax free? Are my razors tax free? Are my tissues tax free? Is my toilet paper tax free?
Jason Green
>equal rights >no tax on x products
KEK, west was an error
Levi Sanders
Is my food tax free?
Gavin Smith
Is there a specific tax on tampons or is it just GST we're talking about here?
Jaxson Brown
the latter of course
Dylan Lopez
i want my tax to be tax free
Charles Kelly
>EVERY womyn needs tampons >It should be tax free else you're sexist
>EVERY womyn needs to eat >Food should be tax free (only for womyn) else you're sexist
Easton Wright
What did women do before tampons existed?
Easton Martinez

Samuel Wood
Pieces of cloth. Tampons and pads aren't a new "necessity imposed by the patriarchy", they're a luxury derived from capitalism.
Christian Jackson
They wore some garter and tied rags to it, on which they bled. Then washed and reused these. Hence the expression "being on the rag".
Joshua Hernandez
I propose you wet your underwear and sit in it for the next couple hours, and see how much you like it.
Let's be serious, not going to cry about soggy knees but if food and "necessity items" are tagged lower than luxury items, menstruation things should just be necessities.
Jaxon Richardson
>I propose you throw away your modern computer and use one from 1998 with a 56k modem for the next couple hours, and see how much you like it.
Something being better =/= necessity. A steak is better than a handfull of insects, but it's not necessary for your survival. I never said pads or tampons aren't amazing, but they aren't impositions by the patriarchy, they are a luxury derived from capitalism. And AFAIK they are in the same tax bracket as every single other hygiene product, as they should rightfully be. Plus, if you buy store brand, a pack of 10 or 12 is about 1 euro (at least here), and they are just as good as name brand. When women spend so much in beauty products, the price of tampons and pads is a non-issue.
Robert Rivera
maybe they should be
Oliver Edwards
If theyre gonna do that for tampons then they may as well do it for everything else including condoms.
Colton Fisher
Just checked, ultra fine normal absorption pads are 75 cents a pack of 14.
John Young
They're free to use rags just like i'm free to use a straight razor to shave.
Owen Brooks
Why do they always look like this
Even a jew nose
Elijah Peterson
Jews don't like parting with their money. It's something they care deeply about.
Gavin Sullivan
I don't think I've ever hated feminists this much until they started this bullshit. I guess they just want to be tax exempt.
Colton Myers
Women buy all that too
Asher Diaz
>Are my razors tax free?
Tax free razors would be nice. Those things are expensive as hell.
Nolan Stewart
I'd consider them essentials and so they should be tax-free in the same way other essentials are.
In general though I think sales taxes should be abolished. It's a regressive taxing system and very anti-business. I'd prefer an increase in income-tax for account for the lost revenue.
