How do you write good comedy?

How do you write good comedy?

Dude weed lmao

You don't.No such thing as good comedy.

Prioritize making people laugh rather than pushing any kind of political agenda.

blow me

unless it's in support of a political position I have

racism
racism is always funny prove me wrong

Cannot emphasize this enough. Immediately disregard MDE, Tim and Eric, etc. We do not need any more surrealist "anti-comedy".

It's bad no matter what side is being made fun of. It's the bottom of the barrel of comedy to just slander your political opponents for laughs. Most of the time it's terribly cringe worthy, and hard to watch.

You don't think Eric Andre is funny? What's wrong with surrealist comedy?

create memorable characters and put them through situations

>The Producers and Blazing Saddles aren't funny

No, you fucking racist Trumpnigger. Humor comes from the pulse of the nation, and getting Trump impeached for being a Russian would be Hillaryous. So basically, even if not every one of your jokes is funny, if your endgame is getting Hillary elected (like she should have been to begin with) then you are making real comedy.

There's too much of it right now imo. I'd rather see more shows that rely on being actually funny. Surrealist humor has always seemed kind of lazy to me. It's too easy to defend it as being avant-garde "performance art" when in reality most of it just sucks.

I'd argue that those were satire and not necessarily forcing a political agenda. There is a difference.

>make obnoxious noises
>pop culture references
>silly faces
>laugh at own jokes
>look like a pedophile
then the future is yours

Fart jokes

How do you write good?

Make people think they're smart for understanding some science jokes and obscure references.

Only punch upwards. All comedy should be at the expense of the wealthy and socially/ethnically priveleged class.

I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability.

Clever writing, good buildups, good punchlines, no political agenda which is constantly being pushed unless there's no bias and they are relatively equally brought up, and even then it should only be rare and used only when it's necessary because of the context of the joke.

Eric Andre is actually funny. How is surrealist humor lazy?

Do whatever Airplane! and co. did right.

not him but eric andre is trash

plus laugh tracks if applicable

Airplane! is a terrible movie. R*ddit humor incarnate.

Fuck off, Satan.

In a group of three or four people, bouncing ideas off each other and building off each other's jokes. You really can't write good comedy sitting alone at a laptop. Humor is a social thing.

no i think he's jewish filth

Adam Sandler plays an unemployed american living in new york, there you go.

What's the political agenda in either of those?

You would've hated George Carlin if you were alive.

>practice
>study others
>practice

This is the only way. Nobody starts out good.

Be funny.

So basically, make it good.

They're both very liberal movies.
