literally watched it again the other day.
love it more every time.

yes except the creepy basement guy being creepy for no reason.
MANUFACTURED DRAMA

anyone else disappointed that they guy in the basement was never mentioned again after the scene

In light of all the new evidence, and the case being solved, I feel like Fincher should issue an apology for implying Arthur Leigh Allen was the murderer.

retard

>kino
Shut the fuck up.

Bait.

You can't just go around accusing people of murder. Surely that's slander or something.

>You can't just go around accusing people of murder.
how about you try and stop me you murderer?

ok

stop it. NOW.

really? it's implied that nuts played with the press and medias saying they were the Zodiac, so this guy was probably one of them, or actually a real killer, just not this one.

Fincher left many hints, this one is just one of them, but most people chose to believe it was Arthur, that's different.

You're retarded. The basement guy was a harmless nobody.

There wasn't even mention of Richard Gaikowski, when it's basically confirmed at this point he was The Zodiac. Fincher was incredibly irresponsible.

More movies with scenes like this?

Don't tell me what to believe, retard.

Yes, I always liked that movie.

Hard to find honestly. What's smart about it, is that there's no scary music in this scene.

Yeah that's what I liked about the killer's scenes. No fake tension or jump scare moments. The eerieness was great.

Yes. It was a nice suspenseful scene but should have been cut from the movie.

Yeah definitely

Can I get a quick rundown on Gaikowski?

>he doesn't watch this kino whilst eating animal crackers and wearing a bow tie.

plebs.

Yes. By now i think it's fair to say that the Zodiac threads are comfy as fuck, like the Twin Peaks and The Thing threads.

>the case being solved

what

I still don't like using "kino" since then you don't get degrees of goodness/badness, just kino or not kino.

That being said, it is a really fucking fantastic movies. Call me a scrub but I'd definitely have it in my top 15 (that being said, for the sake of transparency, I have a massive rager for Jake Gyllenhaal) .

HOWEVER, as per usual, the Koreans did it better, earlier, with Memories of Murder. Arguably the best film to come from their country ever, among just a few other.

100% check out both movies if you haven't seen them.

Nah. Memories of Murder might possibly be better if they cut the goofy kung fu shit. What was the deal with that?

I'm getting super hyped for mindhunter
time to get FINCHERED

The Norks need to stop threatening based South Korea, their film industry has created some all time classics.

I hope Trump sorts them out.

>looks like Zodiac composite
>had family that lived on Washington street (the street Zodiac was seen going down after the Paul Stine murder, to this day police aren't sure how he escaped their search net, sure would've been easy if he had relatives who would harbour him), it was also that relative's birthday on the day of the Stine murder
>was editor for a counterculture newspaper that ran weird stories about the Zodiac (not to mention Zodiac's own obsession with newspapers)
>switchboard for his newspaper was located right next to the residence of Paul Stine
>his newspaper also ran adverts for movies playing at small theatres that the Zodiac often alluded to in his notes such as The Mikado
>Nancy Slover said his voice sounded exactly like that of the Zodiac
>moved to Albany almost immediately after Darlene Ferrin
>later moved back to California after Darlene Ferrin did
And the nail in the coffin, in the first Zodiac cypher, the letters GYKE can be seen, when solved with the KEY, GYKE becomes AUSE. GYKE AUSE KEY is a phonetic match to Gaikowski.

Is he still alive?

I still interpreted it as the film showing Graysmith point the finger at Allen and not so much the film. That is who the characters of the film think did it he is who the film focuses on. Now if they did one of those scenes with Allen sitting in a basement getting ready before one of the crimes are committed then it would be irresponsible and the film claiming he did it. But the fact that it is only the characters that think he is the suspect I don't think you can blame Fincher. At the times the film takes place Allen was the main suspect

It is based on Graysmith's book after all. I agree.

I thought it was explained how Zodiac got away at Washington street. The original description of the suspect that went out was for a black male. Some cops saw a guy who was shuffling and suspicious looking walking away from the scene but left him alone because he was white. By the time the correction was made it was too late and he was gone.

Fincher commentary tracks are comfy as fuck
