Will the universe even last forever? Modern physicists seem to think otherwise.

It might happen for the richest people within our lifetime. Anyone on this board is not going to be able to afford it though. Maybe in 100 - 150 years the common man may be able to afford it if society hasn't collapsed by then.

Living forever is impossible, but with care and lot of luck you may still be alive to see the heat death.
Jordan Gutierrez
I'd honestly prefer humans just die after a certain time as they do now, imagine Soros living forever.
Bentley Smith
>that guy from the movie time who gives all his time away

>Entropy. >/thread You clearly have no idea what that means.
Unless we are talking about the heat death of the universe or total proton decay which is sorta a goofy point.
Bentley Wood
>humans that are alive today will not have to die?
I will still pick who gets to stay.

We must first colonize a planet or two before we start making people that can't die of old age/illness. You can only fit so many rats in one cage m8

Also does anyone really want any millennial to live forever?
Josiah Scott
Being functionally immortal is actually pretty cool. Most people get more conservative as they get older, and because of that a population with an average age of 100+ would be pretty conservative. That said, statistics state that the vast majority of people wouldn't live past 200-300 years old, they would die in accidents of some kind, or due to violence.
Isaac Walker

Functional Immortality means kill as many niggers as possible. Preserve immortality.

accepting death is the last redpill you take in life, living forever leads to boredom and eventually nihilism and hedonism.

There is a reason the end times are scheduled for now.
Higher entities are not going to allow us to achieve immortality on our own. Partly because only the truly fucking worst of humanity will be allowed that privilege, as it is right now.
Imagine a world where the fucking Rothschilds, Soros, Bill Gates, Rockefeller, Zuckerberg, and all that crew of horrible elites get first dibs on immortality and are allowed to shape the future development of humanity by acting as gatekeepers to immortal life.
No fucking wonder the end times are scheduled for now.

Just because you can't die naturally, doesn't mean you can't be murdered
Jaxson Robinson
This will not be available to the masses until we master ftl travel and find planets that are habitable. You cant feed a population that only grows. I would totally go for immortality though, I firmly believe that we will be judged when we die and i dont think im going to be judged well...kinda hoping for some major world scale happening so i can redeem myself saving somebody helpless.
Eli Miller
yeah but can you count on that happening when people stay forever young though
Although living extremely long forces one to consider long term effects which I guess might make people a bit more conservative on some subjects, niggers for a start
Dylan Rogers
Killing them becomes moral. I don't care.
Plus they'll get cancer anyway for playing God

why though, they won't give it to third world countries for sure as for us we don't have an overpopulation problem.
Our governments could gain billions and billions with an ageless society, they wouldn't have to pay shit for old people care, they wouldn't need much more education and pensions and it would resolve our demographic problem (which isn't really one to begin with but still)
Jose Reyes
Population of the world is growing constantly but is somewhat tempered by our mortality, were outbreeding death as it is but take death out of the equation and you have exponential growth, we simply dont have the resources to feed everybody forever, sure itd work for a few years, maybe a few decades but eventually it would collapse. Immortality will be reserved for the ruling elite for a long long time.
Noah Moore
>Population of the world is growing constantly third world countries population is growing constantly, not ours
Think about it, do you think first world citizens will start having more babies than they do with the prospect of enjoying life in a young body for an unlimited amount of time? People would probably wait until they are 200 years old or something
My guess is that natality will plumet even more, so it's a non problem for quite a long time
