Lisa tries to turn people off of meat by offering other foods as an alternative and comes out with a big bowl of gazpacho, a vegetable soup served cold. Everyone laughs at her and you can hear Barney say "go back to Russia!" But gazpacho is from Spain. I always thought the joke was Barney wouldn't know where gazpacho came from so hearing him correctly name the country is out of character and funny, but then I learned that he got the country wrong.

I found something in Springfield at Sneed's. And then there they were...and they sat quietly for hours...

I always thought it was Missouri but I am biased since I grew up near Springfield. That said there are lots of episodes that show it close to the coast, and the residents really don't have a midwest vibe going on. My guess is NW, trilake, or NE coast.
