First for best bug.

No! It's not true. That's impossible! Why does Darth Vader turn into a fucking scorpion? That doesn't even happen in the Special Editions. There is no version of Star Wars in this universe or timeline or any other... I'm sure of it... where Darth Vader turns into... a fucking scorpion. I need a beer.

I said it before we need to help out the Wook. A lot of pages are barren and straight up inaccurate. I just need someone to vouch for me because some of the old timers are a bit grouchy. Brandon is reasonable especially with half the staff quitting in '14.

I'd love to help but I have a shitty memory and worry I'd get info wrong.

Just for you

I'd vouch for you, but I think it'd be more helpful if you just read and learn by yourself. These next links are the what I believe to be the most important to learning Wook:

Best smile.

>I'd vouch for you, but I think it'd be more helpful if you just read and learn by yourself.
That's no problem just it's a pain to edit articles when they constantly get reverted. For example, the Rebels use the AAT in the Star Wars main comic but adding images of it are forbidden to new guys and they dont trust new dudes

Good lord, she's a disgusting cow.

Another happy landing.

I mean, any human being can be caught with a smile like that. At least it's better than Hayden's plethora of pedosmiles. Someone's gotta make a compilation of that shit.

Let's make this horribly ironic. What if her dad somehow found a way to sabotage the Death Star. They KNOW it has immense power and should blow up a world but it turns out that the damn thing isn't quite up to snuffing an entire planet. That's why we see the limited destruction in the trailers and some people speculate those rings in orbit are power amplifiers or even stabilizers. They're being used as a crutch to try and get the damn thing working like all their technical readouts swear it should be. Turns out Daddy Erso fucked up one of the tuning of one of the crystals. Vader senses this and also senses Jyn has one, he takes it and now the Death Star is operational in time to destroy Alderaan.

So basically Jyn accidentally fucks everything up and Alderaan perishes because of it, BUT at least Rogue One obtains the technical readouts in time to help save the larger galaxy at Yavin.

K2 is gonna be the best part of Rogue One, isn't he?

My theory is that Galen purposely gave the Death Star a design flaw so it could be destroyed.

Cont.
Start off small. Make minor corrections here and there to get the feel of things before making a Wook account. Once you make an account slowly start to work your way up with your edits. Don't just jump in day 1 and rewrite and entire article, the regulars don't like that.
Your account needs to be 4 days old, have 50+ edits, and a confirmed email.
> the Rebels use the AAT in the Star Wars main comic
You mean this?:

Pretty sure the Death Star uses bigger crystals than just the one Jyn as

Damn straight. This was the face good enough to be the decoy queen of Naboo and would have been better if she and Portman had their roles reversed if only because she's not near as much of a bitch

Doesn't work, because the crystals in the Death Star are huge ones(like in the Utapau arc of TCW), not the smaller ones that are used in lightsabers and that Jyn has

It's supposed to use an array of smaller crystals now. Those are the individual beams you see all along the dish that collect to form one massive blast.

He was only responsible for the laser science, none of the actual design or anything, and it was so far away from where the shaft was that that sounds improbable.

I'd like that too, though I'm not sure a thermal exhaust port is something he could add in. His speciality is kyber crystals

I agree. I've always thought Knightley is a way better actress, or at least more suited to a role like that.

The size of each little array around the laser is as big as an ISD, or bigger. That needs a laser much bigger than one that powers a lightsaber, which is the same size that Jyn got from her mother.

Why are you putting this in spoiler text? It's not a huge secret.

>and some people speculate those rings in orbit are power amplifiers or even stabilizers.
Entertainment Weekly already spoiled it and said that those are shield generators stationed around Scarif to keep non-Imperials out.

Not everyone has read Catalyst. It doesn't matter if it is huge or not, it's just a courtesy. Besides, if it doesn't harm anything what is the matter?

You better believe it

>/swco/
More like /sjwco/! Ha! Amirite? Cause you're all sjws.

My biggest disappointment with The Clone Wars is that they never showed the business on Cato Neimodia that didn't count.

Subpar Jedi Washouts? Sad, but true.

YES! Finally! Spaceballs is canon!

Whenever I see Daisy's wide open smile I can't help but think that her character may be related to palpatine. The similarities are uncanny.

Didn't the old Jedi Order actually have something like that? A group of Force Sensitives who just weren't good enough to be Jedi and got sent elsewhere?

No, the Rebels use a Batkoid Armored Assault Tank in the comic. Sergeant Kreel's commando's run into one in Star Wars 21. I don't have the picture right now though.

Yes. Obi-Wan was part of the Agricultural branch. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_Service_Corps

Why would them still being big necessitate that each one has a massive kyber? Do you have any idea how rare those things are? What are the odds that the Empire finds that many and then does it again so they can build a new Death Star a few years later?

The good old days will never come back, will they?

Huh. So that's where Sheev got all his Inquisitors from. Explains why they job so hard, they were jobbers to begin with.

The Empire must seem like an improvement after they get their first taste of that Dark Side high.

They only need 10 or so, user. The Jedi already found most of them for their Temples' designs, or they were found by the Empire. Considering they already know how to locate kybers, finding larger ones isn't impossible for them again. Plus they have unlimited access to almost any planet in the galaxy, so they can scour each one finding kybers.

The FO fucking uses kybers in all of their turbolaser weapons now, too. Not giant ones, but they use them.

>Why would them still being big necessitate that each one has a massive kyber?
Because they need to be able to generate massive amounts of power. That's why in TCW and Rebels, giant kybers are the big prizes needed. In Catalyst, they're testing the concept of harnessing and focusing that power with smaller ones before moving on to making it viable on larger ones.

>They're keeping Stormtroopers as a complete joke

M8, nothing has changed since the OT.

Even if you use the excuse for the Death Star, they could only hit walls on Bespin and they lost the upper hand on Endor as soon as they gained it.

They get blown up by a bomb, user. How do you expect anyone to survive that?

Finding large ones is clearly possible, and Yoda said he would do so again, but to manage to find that many given the rarity is incredibly unlikely in the extreme. It makes far more sense that they found a way to generate a similar effect by harnessing the power of far smaller kyber crystals via a focusing array.

Starkiller Base is an entirely different bag altogether given it is possible because the FO discovered Dark Energy™ and even then it has to devour an entire sun. It doesn't appear to work anything like the usual power increase we've seen with giant kyber crystals. Sure Starkiller Base planet has kybers in the soil and some were harvested for the Death Star, though we no nothing of the size.

Why would you want it any other way?

>It's gonna be yet another Hondo episode

So the big, feared, powerful evil army could convincingly be feared and powerful?

>Hondo episode

Who here is hyped for profit?

I mean the turbolasers in all the new ISDs the FO uses. Those are what all harness kybers to work now. Starkiller is it's own fuck up.

this threads stink to reddit and tumblr but it's the only place i could find a decent discussion about star wars

Weren't you banned?

Kyber Crystals, especially the large ones, provide their own power amplification apparently via the Force. And we've seen a Sith weapon can destroy a world, rendering it lifeless without having to destroy it. Which raises the question of why they'd want to struggle even harder to find a way to create a big enough kaboom to destroy a planet because it STILL kills all the life but otherwise leaves nothing left. You could destroy a world and then still mine it for resources. Why would it be extra terrifying that you destroy a planet along with the people unless the point is to prove you're also an insanely wasteful asshole to boot?

Starkiller takes this up to 11 and rips the knob off.

no. not by shitposting here

Nope. Who cares about dogfighting in Star Wars? We wanna see them Jedis and Sith with their super powers and Old Republic and yeah the good stuff.

>Why would it be extra terrifying that you destroy a planet along with the people unless the point is to prove you're also an insanely wasteful asshole to boot?
That'd be my guess. Though in theory you could probably still mine the resulting debris field for minerals.

>implying Sup Forums has mods that do things

>Implying that's a bad thing

>replying to a frogposter

Hey, they might be jobbers, but at least they're cute jobbers.

Stream in about four hours?

Speaking of Thrawn, when the hell is he actually going to do something? Every time we've seen him, he just let the rebels get away.

You could mine them, or at least whatever is left. I imagine some of it would be atomized. Still whatever chunks are left would now be traveling insanely fast in every direction from where Alderaan used to be.

More hilarious, I think, is Starkiller base. Once it devours a sun you no longer have the gravity to hold the solar system together so all the planets presumably just go flying off into the galaxy. At least, and this is assuming this bit of physics is still the same in reality and Star Wars, those planets will take a very long time before they become a threat to any star systems, though I suppose their own gravity shadows (thanks ATOCs) could destabilize hyperspace lanes. I'm not quite sure how that works. I am fairly certain though that JJ never thought of this possibility and wouldn't care even if he had. He seems to operate on a system of ignoring potential issues therefore they aren't a problem as far as he is concerned. Pablo could no doubt clear it up by saying the FO very carefully chooses those rare stars that lack any planetary bodies.

Probably 5-6 hours

I-I'm sorry user. Please forgive me.

He's got a point though. Whe are the Rebels going to do something?

>I don't understand nu-Thrawn's plot line!

This season of rebels has really gone down hill fast

You have failed, user. Hux will collect you so that you may complete your training.

He has been doing things. In case it wasn't obvious already, he's studying the Rebels. More than just looking at art related to them. He's studying their battle tactics and how they respond in situations. What they do, what lengths they're willing to go to.

He's also not just after Ghost Crew, which is why he lets them go. They're not his main target.

any good summaries of Catalyst? Aint got time to read that

A fair number of people don't, or that's been my impression from fan reactions. I haven't felt like his overall plan is that complicated. He's biding his time and trying to make the rebels bold enough to perform an all-in attack, then he can destroy them all.

What I'm waiting to see is HOW he plans to destroy them. Will he bait them with a juicy enough target? Will we see the Rebels winning only for him to make a stunning turn around? And how successful will he be? He clearly won't destroy them all, but I expect it'll be a massive mid-season (or later) event that will leave the survivors broken and demoralized and push Ezra to the brink. Then the rest of the season will be finding a way to rise from their own ashes again.

O you're right.

maybe it has long, cold nights?

>Unlike its planetary lookalike, the hostile and arid Tatooine, Jakku was designed to be inhospitable in a different way. "It's a cold desert," says Chiang. "We had to make sure it looked distinct, so we settled on the Atacama Desert in South America and Wadi Rum in Jordan."
