Wind River is the third best movie I've seen this year so far. Haven't seen the other two. I am dying to see Mother! though so I will check it out this weekend. American Assassin I am less excited about, looks like a rote made for TV thriller. Michael Cuesta used to be an interesting director but lately he's just been doing rejected Tom Clancy novels (I'm aware Kill the Messenger is based on a true story). Could be fun though.

If you're the least bit intelligent you'll figure out who did it in the first thirty minutes. It tends to steer more towards drama territory, basically an extended episode of Longmire or Justified with a more interesting setting and an amazing score.
