James Bond

I just started my journey through the James Bond films, already on Goldfinger.

What's Sup Forums's opinion on the films?

connery for best 007

I love them but i've not seen them all yet. Now and then i'll catch one and they're comfy watching, especially roger moore ones. The newer ones are just pure action.

Best: Dr. No, Russia w/ Love, Bond v Narcos, Skyfall

Most are pretty shitty and the best ones are ok at best.

Brosnan is best Bond.

>Bond v Narcos
I like License to Kill too

Dalton is the best Bond.

I do too, but the antagonist angle is strangely terrible in an otherwise very good film

Connery's Bond was my favorite.
I also liked George Lazenby's Bond even though it was probably the most over the top cliche. Bond marries, and pursues the good life.....The sad ending made it worth watching.
Roger Moore's Bond was much like Sean Connery's Bond with Moore he's a bit more 70's lady's man. The cop chase scenes reminded me of Smokey & The Bandit. Did Smokey & The Bandit get their ideas from the Roget Moore Bond scene? Don't know which came first but still entertaining if not as good as Connery.

Moonraker is where it gets ridiculous, but still entertaining. Army astronauts battle with Lazers!

Connery's Bond is the best, and everything after is more of an imitation mimicking Connery's Bond.

>I also liked George Lazenby's Bond even though it was probably the most over the top cliche. Bond marries, and pursues the good life.....The sad ending made it worth watching.

Apparently new one's a loose remake

>but the antagonist angle is strangely terrible
I liked it, a definite change from the mostly megalomaniacal world dominators, plus Bond destroying his entire operation from within to avenge his friend and that last tanker scene were great.
Also, I think the actor got abducted by an actual druglord and released later unharmed.

My favorite Bond is Connery, but objectively the best Bond film is Goldeneye.

there is literally a James Bond film for what ever mood your in

The king of comfy-core

My personal fave is Dalton. Connery is the OG, so you can't go wrong with him. Moore a shit. Live and Let Die, and A View to a Kill are the only ones of his I could stomach.

Sean Connery > Pierce Brosnan > Timothy Dalton >>>> Daniel Craig >>>>>>>> Roger Moore >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> George Lazenby

why is it so easy to forget the plot of a 007 movie? my favorite was casino royale and i even forgot the plot of that one.

Because it's always the same plot. Some evil mastermind has some plan to destroy shit, and Bond comes up with some way to stop him, also he fucks a girl or two.

>people think Connery is a good actor when literally all he's ever done is play himself

My favorite are the stories from LXG, Connery got like 15 million for the pic, one scene had several characters walking down the street and the director wanted to shoot it again and Connery threw a bitch fit, to which the director responded "For 15 million I don't think asking you to walk down the street again is too much"

He's a little bitch and I hope he fucking dies, thank god he's ruined his name with shitty VA work.

The true patrician answer.

as a cultural institution they're all worth watching
wether or not they're actually good films or not is a different question.
The only really good ones imo are From Russia with Love, The Living Daylights, Goldeneye, Casino Royale, and Skyfall.
But the bad ones are pretty good too if you're in the mood for some zany dukes of hazard shit.

Most of the Bond flicks are enjoyable to an extent, but there are some real clunkers.

Christ that latest bond I dont even remember his fucking name but he looks like a neanderthal. Boring ass his movies are too. Fuckoutta here, Connery/Moore/Dalton FTW

good movies, even the worst is decent

>living day lights best movie
