reminds me of an article I read today.
It was about a high school / college (don't know what the equivalence is, since our education is a bit different - but it is not mandatory) in the second largest city in Denmark. Basically the school had 80% none Danish students, it came about that non-Danish teens in the city would go to that particular school and ethnic danes would avoid that school - classic white flight. here is where the story gets interesting, the school principal have created the new freshmen classes, I think there where 7, so 4 of them only contained non-Danish students and the remaining 3 where mixed. He told the reason for doing this was to break the cycle of white flight. Many people where quite positive about this in the article, but a lot of the experts they interviewed had some concerns about the gap in education quality between the mixed classes and the non-Danish classes, because ethnic danes are significantly better in school than non-danes and the Danish education system is based a lot on student interaction and dialog.
