Is she right?

Is she right?

Who is she and why should I care?

Also, most comic writers can't write (gay) couples for shit, I can't imagine how the hollywood version would end up.

What do you think, OP?

Instead of having a stupid argument over a literally who, how about we just post beefcake.

Gay couples are only important if they are the ones i want and can cream too and Im not afriad to you the current soical climate to bully you into doing it

> that feel when they got rid of your favorite beefcake

Less young and hip gays, more DILFS.

how is making established characters gay an evolution and not just band waggoning onto a popular social issue? aren't they setting themselves up for more harm when the capeshit characters go back to being straight in a few years, since they always tend to gravitate back to their "classic" origins?

develop already existing gay charactersjavascript:;

>Hollywood
>Not Publishers
Fuck this cunt

Also, The Penguin is gay now? I can't believe I read thru this crap

>B-buh muh representation
>I-it's ok if it's shit if it's diverse

Also the last few paragraphs about how profit should be ignored in favor of more representation is stupid, that's never gonna work.

>B-buh Marvel
Is bumped up by Variants. That's literally their plan now. You can look up their past few announcements, it's all variants and free copies of books that'll never sell to prop up their charts. There was literally an article of them giving away free copies of Venom and other shit then another article of them patting themselves in the back about how they "cleaned out" of these books.

>woman
>right about anything ever

You know media would probably make more revenue if they started cartering to gay shippers and just made official gay noncanon fiction.

>"make marco trans"

He's just a kid. This cunt is literally a pedophile.

TDLD

Also is this from the MarySue? Glad I didn't read then.

Nah, the japs have it down to an art, and the trick is to give fuel to shippers with strong emotional connections but never make them a couple (unless the work in question is porn).

Nah. It wouldn't change anything and fans need to understand their place when it comes to content creation.

Sure, wanna stop making money? Go ahead, make every character a fag.
I would dare them to, if I could only be heard.
What have I got to lose? Entertainment? Pfft... Some shitty cheap entertainment Hollywood provides anyway, I can very well do without it.
But they'll stand to lose, when me and those like me and we the greatest majority, won't give them our money anymore.

This just show that gay people are disgusting, and not because they are gay.

Queershits.

Stopped at the headline and the answer is no.

Gays only make less than 1% of the world's population. Not to mention that homosexuality is mental illness and we should help them not encourage them.

>But I also never thought that Donald Trump would be elected President and that decades' worth of social progress and civil rights might suddenly be on the chopping block, yet here we are.
Dry your leftist tears and look at reality, you dumb bitch.
Trump's not going to repeal gay marriage, and there's not going to be any rightwing death squads marching through the streets lynching the trannies.
Can't say the same about Pence though, he's crazy.

Even Pence isn't as crazy as he's made out to be. The whole "shocking the gays" thing is a gross exaggeration of his actual stance (which is still bad, but still).

stop giving away the plans, man. they need to be unaware when the purge begins.

>Trump believes electrocuting people will cure they gayness

I never heard of him saying this, is it true? I don't think he's that ignorant.

It's an exaggeration of something his VP believes, look into it.

I can make an essay too!

>a.
Stop having established or non-established characters that are put in the shoes of more iconic ones for the sole purpose of having a "diversified" version of said iconic hero/heroine. An example of this in action is Marvel’s attempt at making Captain America an African-American, when the character was already a superhero previously loved and known as Sam Wilson, a.k.a. ‘The Falcon.’ If anything, this will deter new readers from picking up a title because they want Captain America from the MOVIES, because that’s what the main public thinks of Captain America now.

>b.
The writers have got to go, and must be replaced by more competent writers whose goals are NOT to push an agenda, yet still relate to not only the characters they're tasked with writing, but the beliefs and values of the character in a believable and realistic view for the readers.

If an important character is to be required to have a change in sexual orientation, a vote between writers and coordinators should be cast, but the decision should never, ever, ever be final. Instead, publish the story or arc of the character where they can test the waters of their character’s sexuality. This is better than merely forcing diversity out by making unsubtle changes and sudden switches that take place for the character. For example, if DC comics wished to make Tim Drake gay, they shouldn’t just start his new run with him being gay all of the sudden, rubbing his new homosexuality in our face through lame jokes and some overly-inspired speeches about how he’s proud to be who he is. Instead, have him be undecided at the beginning, and struggle with certain thoughts so that they can "experiment" with how the public reacts to this. Before the series ends, two planned endings should be thought of just in case, and depending on the safest bet of what to choose, the ending of him being straight or not should be chosen. Something to watch out for, however, should be who really wants to see him gay, because SJWs and other progressives will be more vocal than the average person, and people who say they prefer Tim Drake straight will be shunned. What can help in assisting to avoid this is if the story portrays Tim’s struggle over his sexuality is if it’s downplayed, and not too overt. It should not be the focus, it’s just another struggle a character has with identity. Only trusted writers that will be sure to do well should be able to do these types of stories, because balancing out how much influence the inner struggle has over the main story is difficult.

Fucking fujioshi trying to ruin everything

>d.
The comic’s industry has practically been letting fans down again and again for the past few YEARS. DC has been improving with its “Rebirth” that actually understands what the problems are and listened to fan complaints. This goes with changing characters to having different orientations or skin colors, because if the changes are not desirable, which, if they keep characters in this certain gray-zone of "are they gay or not throughout the characters run where they have two planned endings", then they have an open-ended area to settle it by the end of an arc.

>e.
Decide what characters will absolutely NOT be gay, bi, or switched. For example: Batman cannot be gay in the mainstream universe, nor should he be by choice. He’s good enough, don’t mess with him. The same goes for other A-listers.
>f.
Don’t overuse making character’s question or flat out change their sexuality or swapped with another character of another race. It’s a gradual process to make everything “diverse” enough to the point where it can be seen as appealing to all. That’s the beauty of step “c”. It won’t work all at once, but over time, certain characters will be sure to change by the people’s preference. The only task after that is to ensure quality writing, and to not make the change in sexuality after the run a bigger deal. It’s should be emphasized as much as straight people are emphasized for liking the opposite gender.

3/2 Okay, I'm bored now. I'll stop.
