The trailer made it clear they're going for a combination of both sagas. It's an origin story with the same premise, look and scenes as the reboot but the ultimate objective clearly is to turn her into the badass character of the old saga. Lara was still a bit fragile in the second game of the reboot while Alicia Lara will clearly go full badass at the end of the movie if the last part of the tráiler is any indication.
