Holy shit hot

I would tap that

That is one sexy Peter rabbit

seek professional help

You're the one who needs help if you don't want to fuck the bunny. You realize you're the odd one out right?

>finish watching the isle of dogs trailer
>high on the prospect of new stop motion animation perfection
>oh whats this some trailer for a rabbit movie?
>sony logo comes on
>immediately loose interest

Catchy song tbhwyf

I want to fuck the bunny

What the hell? Bunny rabbits aren't supposed to stir up my hormones like this.

I hate that song quite a bit

That trailer unironically ruined a piece of my childhood.

AFTER THE ROLE OF A LIFETIME

...

Fucking hell, this film is an abomination.

I just watched the trailer. What the hell? Why did it need to be a Beatrix Potter movie if the mood is completely different from the books?

better question is would beatrix potter allow this movie to be made if she were still alive today?

don't worry, the best adaptation of Beatrix Potter's oeuvre still exists

No.

>So different in tone to the book it may as well not be based on it
>James Corden
>Sony
>Bumped to February release

Holy shit this is a car crash

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
STAY AWAY FROM MUH PETER THE RABBIT!!!

youtube.com/watch?v=fErRjperZiM

Even the fact that it's 3D is enough to ruin it. Peter Rabbit worked well because of the pastelly 2d artstyle. This just looks like any other le funny animal cgi movie.

>mfw I had to import the soundtrack CD from FUCKING Japan otherwise it would have costed me almost £400

This is literally Hop, the movie with the rebel easter bunny.

The music in that series still stirs something profoundly powerful within me.
Makes me remember my early childhood, and how peaceful and worry free my life used to me.
youtube.com/watch?v=8pM7Xwx6TiE

Same! I thought I was the only one on Sup Forums who loved this show.

The Cuckoo and Beatrix Potter and the Lakes is the one I enjoy the most, there's something that feels so English about it.

youtube.com/watch?v=ILfWjynyn1A&feature=youtu.be

This show used to air in Finland when I was a wee little lad. I absolutely adored it.

I don't understand why a kids show was given such a beautiful soundtrack.

Children's shows used to be made with quality in mind.
The Moomin tv series had a god tier soundtrack.
youtube.com/watch?v=_NU_0OH9xzo

this looks kino

Needs more carrots

youtube.com/watch?v=ahW0AP1ecxY

>mfw watching this upbeat quip shit

Haven't seen the Moomins, don't think they weren't broadcasted in the UK.

Have you seen The Snowman or Father Christmas? You might enjoy them.

>thread about peter rabbit trailer
>turns into furry thread
Sounds legit

Snowman is a classic. It airs every Christmas here in Finland.

>isle of dogs

Just checked this out. Looks awesome.

>sony pictures animation
nope

The genuine nostalgia genuinely made my heart pound. Fuck Sony Pictures.

I rarely listen to anything anyone posts on Sup Forums in all of the 13+ years I've been on it. I listened to this all the way through. It reminds me of a simpler time.

pic somewhat related

Yeah, same over here. Didn't realise it was so popular in other countries.

Is it broadcasted with a Finnish dub?

Sony raped both Spider-Man and Ghostbusters, two elements of my childhood. I never thought they would fuck Peter Rabbit.

The song at least is in english I think.

>stop-motion
>Director: Wes Anderson

I had to stop watching the trailer about 20 seconds into it so I don't know anything else about it until I see the movie.

I dont remember it having dialogue at all. The song wasnt dubbed.

t. other finn

We need a fresh new take on Peter Rabbit for the kids to connect with. He needs to be hip and with an attitude but not too much.

>You lived long enough to see Portugal. The Man go mainstream
I still liked Woodstock, but Jesus is this song played way too much

Why does every Sony movie feel like the EXACT same movie?

It was. Used to be on weekday mornings on CBBC, back when CBB was a programming slot on BBC1 rather than it's own dedicated channel.

I TURNED MYSELF INTO A PICKLE BOB
I'M PICKLE NEZZER

I guess their audience must be 2-3 year olds.

I'm glad you enjoyed it my dude. I'd recommend for you to watch the series if you want that simpler time feel.

Is there a torrent of this

I really, really like it

youtu.be/1T73xhutNXQ

no the song is not dubbed
t. third finn

Because they seem to have the budget of a small Somali radio station.

What the fuck are you doing to me user? Jemima is pure. PURE.

Sup Forums is up in arms over this. I love Beatrix Potter too. Amusingly the Japanese are obsessed with it.

Not that I've found. It's a pretty rare grab, but once I have the CD I'm happy to share the files with others.

I may just do that. I was raised on cartoon movies that were made while Walt Disney was still alive. Radically different stuff than what is peddled now. It seemed like when Walt died, everything changed in the US, but Europe wasn't affected for a long while after at least.

>An awful adaptation of a classic
>James Corden
>Generic CGI
>Modern setting and updated jokes/references
>Sony Films
What could go wrong?

How can Sony ruin everything

I feel the same but to the snowman soundtrack. Reminds me of christmas eve/day. I remember it from when I was 5 years old ffs :(

ok maybee make a thred wen yu get it

I just had the horrible thought that one of this major studios will grab the rights to The Snowman and make a CGI/live action movie filled with zany slapstick, celebrity cameos and pop culture references for a Christmas release

based finns sharing the magic that is the snowman. It's the only thing I actually try and watch on christmas now

They already tried to ruin it with the snowman and the snow dog. It doesn't even exist in my mind. Fucking terrible.

There's a huge host of cartoons that follow along the same vain. Not that era lasted long, British animation died under the weight of cheap, mass produced imports from America.

I'm sure you'll enjoy The First Snow of Winter. Very dark for a kids film.

youtube.com/watch?v=9gdrn0pZFa0

is this from the same video with the dancing pepe

what is this?

>music by Colin Towns

Oh, the guy who did the music for "Cadfael". I think I'm the only person in the US who watched all of that.

youtube.com/watch?v=6yVEi-yjl3I

Also, here's the playlist for the Peter Rabbit stuff,

youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUq-6aS_fNWjpAaUNm1ssSUGIuHO1ClQa

I use 'ant.com video downloader' in Firefox to grab this stuff from youtube.

I remember watching the animated movie for "The Wind in the Willows" and for some reason it creeped my out as a child.

Why is Britain the fucking best at everything. Seriously.

>I remember watching the animated movie for "The Wind in the Willows" and for some reason it creeped my out as a child.

This is what we do here, that's partly why our childrens entertainment used to be god tier. most americans would never like the sad ending of the snowman for example, and that's partly what made me love it as a 5 year old.

>McGregor's now a nu-male hipster millennial

Yeah fuck off.

The novel was great. The video versions of it were not nearly as good.

It is all part of the project to reprogram white men into pussies, so they are no longer a threat.

There's two versions of McGregor in the film; Gleeson as a young McGregor, Sam Neill as a old McGregor.

Nalbandian produced this, he's the same guy to also produced the Ga'Hoole movie.

Liberalism is admiring Peter Rabbit. Conservatism is realising Mr McGregor makes more sense.

It's the post-imperial condition. Everything has a slight realism to it. The heroes don't always come out of things perfectly and the challenge that is overcome usually leaves scars.

Wow. I haven't seen this in 2 decades yet it all came back to me so hard.

I think you mean eatable.

this is the 1971 ballet "Tales of Beatrix Potter," and it is fucking kino.

whoops, meant to reply to

How the fuck does that look so good?

>tfw we lost the art of building and lighting sets and today this would have at best been a bunch of people in costumes flattly lit so their shadows wouldn't clash with a green screen background set's yet-to-be-decided lighting direction

Fucking hell I had almost forgotten

Oh to go back to those perfect Sunday afternoons in the 90s watching it with my dad.

>thread is making me think about how easy it would be to rape a rabbit without anybody finding out

America continue to ruin great British children's literature. How can they be stopped?

the moomins was on cartoo network UK at like 1am. i remember because i used to sneak out of my room to watch TV and the first thing cartoon network showed when TMC was over was the moomins.

youtube.com/watch?v=PcDVH8DiBnM

thats a massive set

Church Mouth will always be one of their best albums

>James Corden is Peter Rabbit

Why was this allowed?

Squirrel Nutkin film when?

...

Holy shit man, this was my childhood.
I don't feel much nostalgia, but the animation, music and voice work is kino.
