Split the team up. shitty music use, baby groot, more drax/rocket but less quill

apart from the baby groot nonsense is was alright

still the best marvel thing, probably because it's the least marvel of all the marvels

That poster is the most reddit thing ever made.

the original was, basically, giving people what they didn't know they wanted.

the sequel was an attempt to give people exactly what they already liked about the first one, rather than, again, serving something people didn't know they already wanted.

your parents?

>It's not ripe
How is this funny? Because of repetition? It's so lazy.

Maybe you should start by explaining what's wrong with it.

This. It tried to capture lighting in a bottle a second time, which never works. It's why the only sequels people remember are those that are different from the original.

Almost all jokes fell flat and by God there were a lot of them. And they went on for ages.

Exposition was hamfisted, with numerous characters explaining the same motive over and over again treating us like retards. Mary Poppins not handing over Quinn is one such example where it was pointed out numerous times as to why.

Ego for some reason killing Quinn's mother and then telling Quinn right before executing his plan. Why not wait five minutes?

Ending was melodramatic. The funeral was overdone and was obviously more of an excuse to force a Rocky spinoff movie.

Some action scenes were laughable. Nebula dropping down on Gamorra from nowhere and then Gamorra using the ship's machine gun to fire back is one example of nonsensical fight scenes.

Everything with Baby Groot. Fuck Groot.

>Ego for some reason killing Quinn's mother and then telling Quinn right before executing his plan. Why not wait five minutes?
Also why even kill Quills mother? He's already billions of years old could he really not wait like 40 years for her to die? Or just ask Quill to come to the planet while she was still alive, I'm sure he would come for a visit.

This is stupid comedicapeshit. They didn't do anything wrong if you were expecting something better you should drop the genre instead.

It's Kino, fuck off

They didnt. Stop believing Sup Forums memes. Gunn's Marvel's best director, leagues ahead of Russos. It's fun, has heart and directed with care and precision.

This and Taserface were awful. I still liked the movie though

>product placement
>no nicole perlman
>too much emphasis on soundtrack
>disney execs fuck everything up

This whole movie was just so forced, even for Marvel standards

I doubt Gunn was the one forcing in all the quips. That one had the stink of Disney all over it. So many out of place jokes to meet the Marvel quota.

You have a point, in that my one criticism of the film would be that he was often wary to lean into more serious or emotional moments, or dialogue without a joke immediately following. I don;t know if that's the tone he wants, or the one Marvel's dictating. But while I really enjoy the film all around, and the humor in general, it doesnt have to be as frequent.

Drax came off a bit annoying in that way.

The jokes from Drax were fucking awful. Just him yelling the punch line then explaining the joke while laughing like an obnoxious jackass.
His character in the first movie was entertaining, in 2 it's like he was replaced by Drax's retarded brother.
That alone brings the movie down a couple points.

>mutiny on the ship
>countless loyal crew members murdered by being sent into the vacuum of space
holy shit thats actually quite emotional and horrifyi-
>LOL TASERFACE HAHAHAHAHA
alright never mind then

Taserface was fun. It was like a send-up of the Liefeld era to me.

You forgot the celebratory funeral for the child slaver / kidnapper (mary poppins) who brought HUNDREDS of children for Ego to kill...

The film is tonally inconsistent as fuck. Death is treated as a mere triviality even when it's good people dying.

I liked it but I get what you're saying. Here's a good scene that's meant to be serious in the first film. It stays that way until the very end, and the humor used by Pratt is very subtle yet in character as well

taserface was benny from stranger things.
the short order cook who takes 11 in at that diner.
dude was way cooler there

it was a pretty good sequel. it felt a little bit tweaked but nothing a non autist would complain about.

>product placement
you mean an obsolete zune? i wouldve declared them shills if it was something that was still on the retail market but why complain about the zune and not the walkman?

>split them up
but is this really a big deal when they will probably make a few more of these movies? i would be kind of disappointed if the plot felt like a carbon copy of the other shit.

Please neck yourself you boring cunt.
