no

They won't allow it
They didn't even let him direct IT

>true detective
>good

It's literally flawless, the first season at least

Leftovers was good

>flawless

imbecile (You)

It's literally fucking shit. 8 hours of wanking and monologues for girls.

Not an argument

...

This is the of decline.
Things will only get worse in the show business.

What do you consider a good show then?

stop making td threads over and over you underage redditor

>implying Quarry wasn't great
>implying 4 Blocks isn't awesome
>implying The Deuce won't be great
>implying Narcos isn't GOAT by this point

You guys are just watching the wrong fucking shows.

yes, it's not an argument. it's a statement of fact, imbecile.

The Wire, Breaking Bad, Rome

nah
the stars just ended up aligning for TD season one. The fresh idea of having two stars as leads, the chemistry between them, the creepy Louisiana setting, convincing cast of minor characters, subtle supernatural elements. Any kind of remake would just feel like a soulless replication

Still not an argument

S2>S1

I agree, good is an understatement.

still an imbecile (You)

that was a criminal act in a long string of criminal acts by hollywood.

we never got our shoggoths or cults.

family guy, xavier renegade angel, walking dead, GoT. the list goes on and on...

Whoever tries to remake s1 should be blacklisted from Hollywood

This bait is downright insulting user

the extra poeriods were a bit too much, weren't they? ....

leading with family guy was the giveaway

I'll try to remember that in the future. I always and gladly accept constructive criticism

Twin Peaks, Leftovers, Quarry, Narcos, Ozark, American Gods, The Expanse, Black Sails, Legion were all good

Why was the pay off no where near as enthralling as the journey?

The pay off is perfect though. Rust seems to have found meaning in life after catching the killer but you see in the flash forwards that he's every bit as cynical as he used to be and became an alcoholic.

"Time is a flat circle"

I never caught that with Woody Harrelson's daughter making all those cult references.

there's lots of stuff we missed

Season 2 was better than season 1, so why not?

was Martin first daughter raped and nobody ever found out?
i remember the scene where her parents talk to her about the "awful drawings" she made on the book.
there was a big tall men in the drawings

there was a mention that she went crazy or something

The Night Of was pretty close to kino tier

yeah her sister mentions she's "off her meds" at a certain point.
Still i just finished watching it and this is the only thing that seems sort of unsolved/left behind

Not that it's particularly important, but the whole sequence regarding Martin's first daughter seems more than just an allusion to the overall theme of the series about gangrapes and pedo rings.

I mean, first the doll circle, then the suspicious drawings, then she goes full goth/bitch/crazy, then the 2 guys fucking her in the care, then the meds.
It all looks like she, somewhere along the lines, entered the pedo ring but they never developped that part of the story.

There is also a scene in which Marty asks his wife: "where does a young girl like this get this stuff", referring to the drawings
And his wife replies: girls knows, long before boys, they have to

By looking around there are some fan-theories about the father of Martin's wife being part of the pedoring and raping his niece

Do you have more of these? Post em

Trump will fix it

Show seriously fell off after episode 5. No idea what you're talking about.

Time is a flat circle

god's not *burp* real, morty *burp* i mean marty

S2 was a gift from God

I think True Detective S1 was the farewell gift of good television.

Now it's just mass produced Netflix garbage and other channels.

This is the last one I've got. I think theirs one or two more

There were tons of theories about Marty's father in law back when the show was airing, relating to the scenes with the dolls his daughter makes. Its a big stretch to assume that the scenes she makes has to be cult related though, it's a group of male dolls wearing normal clothes around a naked female doll, theres no masks or occult symbols. She could have just found a porn magazine or something. And even if you assume the father in law was part of this old secret cult (and theres no real evidence of that) they had a set procedure of abducting poor kids from the schools, not going after their own grandchildren.

I see the plotline with Martys daughter serving to show how he's a failure as a father, not some secret clue that was hidden in plain sight that would blow everything wide open

damn

I think they don't delve into it on purpose, to show how Marty is disconnected to his family. You can pick it up and sense something's going on, but Marty never makes a big deal out of it.

>religion might be stories for children

Woah very insightful

man vigilantecitizen is such good entertainment

This show made me depressed. Seeing those characters so empty and dead inside. It was pretty rough.

And even the overall cult at large was never framed. All they got was one retard. The elite cult itself had already slipped by them and were most likely still doing it after they killed the green ear guy. So all that happened is that they dug themselves into a twisted hole and never found their way out again.

Yeah, it got good again for a while.
Perhaps you missed it.

>and like a lot of dreams... there's a monster at the end of it

the hype and subsequent disappointment will never be this great again

fuck off

pleb taste, kys

>the list goes on and on...
Pleb, please. TLGOO is one of the worst shows I've ever seen. Dropped it after the last episode. Pure trash.

This. This is the point from which tv can never be good again
