Cinematic universe franchises fucking ruined superhero movies. Granted, there have always been shitty rush-jobs, but now people go see these rush-jobs simply because they're part of a franchise they mindlessly follow.

People remember Superman, almost 40 years later. People remember Batman and Batman Returns. People remember Spider-Man 1 and 2, and The Dark Knight, because they focused on making the absolute best film they could, not just going "OK, well it's time to make another Thor movie. Just get whoever's available to make it, we need it by March."

Ten years from now, nobody is going to remember Ant-Man or Doctor Strange or even well-received movies like Wonder Woman, because they feel like assembly line productions, just pumped out four times a year because they know you'll fork over your cash every time simply because it says "MCU" or "DCEU" on the poster.

>skipped dark knight/all nolan who basically changed the trajectory of blockbuster movies

Yeah despite the memery because it's popular, The Dark Knight will be the last time anybody with any auteur sense will touch a Super Hero property.

People act like Deadpool did anything new, but it's the same shitty story as every other bad super hero movie but in a new package.

I thought Logan was pretty good tbqhwyfam.

>forgot x-men but remembered batman

Deadpool was pretty different except for maybe the last fight which they made fun of.

you thought wrong

The original Superman is the only superhero movie that truly raised the bar.

The Dark Knight didnt even want to be a true Batman movie.

X-men raised the bar that they could actually be good like OG Superman and have important messages

Spider-man raised the bar in the money department

Dark knight did both

>remembered to this day as a genre classic
There was a Superman movie in 1978?

it's definitely one of the better movies we've had in years

no

Better than anything in the DCEU and the only Marvel flicks than can even hope to compete are Winter Soldier, Iron Man, and GotG.

How much time have you wasted watching capeshit?

not an argument

>it's definitely one of the better movies we've had in years
>compares it to capeshit
That says a lot about its quality tbqh mate

capekino can still be compared to capeshit since its a "superhero" movie
Anyone else feel like most of these ""superhero"" movies aren't actually superhero movies?

Marvel / Disney movies are already forgotten the week after you've watched them. DC films are discussed, remembered and pondered for years to come. Snyder is a man ahead of our time and we are lucky to exist in the same timeline that he is.

Uh...

Batman Begins, TDK, and Logan are some of the best superhero movies in modern history.

OP is clearly a connoisseur of penis and penis accessories.

>capekino

>DC films are memed and shitposted for years to come.

If BvS wasn't pandered by normies and critics alike it would already been forgotten and you faggots wouldn't meme about it.

> Snyder is a man ahead of our time and we are lucky to exist in the same timeline that he is.

Exhibit A.

Only because it subverted what a Superhero movie usually is. It didn't do anything new outside of superhero films. Its merit is mostly because its the first superhero film to do it, but its themes and style are common in other genres.

Deadpool was a parody movie more than a superhero movie; parody movies aren't really new, and it wasn't even straight up parody.

MoS, BvS and WW have more content and meaningful story than all of Marvel movies combined. The only film that I respect on MCEU is Ironman 1

Within its own genre it is an exceptionally strong movie and, simply judged as a film, one of the few that are genuinely good.

>superman the motion picture was barely a good film. Everybody remembers superior Superman "kneel before Zod" sequel more
>batman, only because wb promoted the fuck out of it, barely a good movie didn't live up to the hype, batman returns was slightly worse, but batman inspired the cool, urban monochromatic look copied by the crow and the matrix i'll give it that
>spider-man, nobody cared after the hype died, people remember the superior spider-man 2 more, arguably raimi's best work
the dark knight nor iron man not mentioned, kys

Only thing you're right about is Spider-Man 2 being better than its predecessor. Spider-Man is still a good movie though.
