What went wrong?

What went wrong?

It's a non-South Park cartoon on Comedy Central. It was a show that aired on Comedy Central.

No other cartoon has ever had success on Comedy Central. Not even Futurama's return. America really needs an animation network for older audiences.

Problem is a lot of the time schedule would be wasted. There are very specific times of day where adults would tune in, like Adult Swim. The rest would eventually loan out their time to shit like COPS like G4 did.

Channels are dying.

Netflix has the right idea with shows like Bojack

It was too good.

>CC I want an animated show, give it to me or I walk

>it's a "daniel plugs brickleberry at the end of his episode" episode

They had to make room for Tosh's shows.

Pretty much. The internet and Netflix are forcing on-demand content into the spotlight. It just doesn't make sense to be a slave to a schedule when you can watch absolutely anything at any time.

Also for the record I loved Ugly americans. Fuck it broke my heart it got shitcanned.

Netflix is also dying. It's getting more expensive to push out original content while also providing a variety of shows.

The costs of running it are growing, but they'll probably survive for some time. Or something very much like it.

How did this unfunny faggot even get his own show in the first place?

did she have any good r34

There was a pic or two I recall saving. But largely no.

>TV dying
>Netflix dying
How are Hulu and Amazon streaming doing?

If badly, then is anything growing at all?

Is this the age where everyone spends their free time shitposting on... I was about to say Facebook but even they're not growing fast anymore.

Tosh.0 is super duper fucking cheap and CC loves that

It also doesnt help when the network decides that your show doesnt air every thursday at 9pm anymore, but now shows on wednesday at 2am with no warning, and then cancels the show because its not bringing in good ratings anymore.

>Wants to fap to western cartoon r34
>Wants to fap to well drawn, good cartoon porn
P i c k o n e

I have no idea what possess a network to gauge a show's popularity while it is in such a slot.

i know......

K I L L M E

love this meme

Pick One, or double spacing every letter like you need a lobotomy?

It wasn't as good as you guys said it was.

Meh tier at best.

>implying it's not real

The one time I care that this is a blue board.

Everything plateaus and we wait for the next big thing.

Brain implants that release dopamine on demand probably.

...

...

nope fuck off

You just proved you didn't read the context, congratulations, now pay more attention in highschoo!.

Needs more girlcocks.

keep crying

Ugly Americans and Moonbeam City were too good for this world.

I still don't get how anyone could find this hot. Why does Matt Groening's work that attracts so many autists?

Keep being an oblivious faggot, I'm going to bed(no, im going to watch you beg me to keep giving you troll food in silence while laughing.)

In my experiance somebody trying so hard to appear to not be mad means they're pissed off as hell. They never try to prove otherwise, just yell "I know you are but what am I?"louder and more frantically.

This show got more than one season? I remember seeing an ad for it in a subway station like 5 years ago. That was the last I saw of it.

ok

>Netflix is dying

lol, no. Is it an expensive industry? Absolutely. So is Google. Netflix isn't going anywhere any time soon. It is a household name with universal appeal in every demographic which even the most frugal, impoverished populace can afford.

Netflix is not dying any more than Google or Microsoft is.

>Saying ok
>Newfag way of not having a good response

Christ

It was in indirect competition with Archer as a script heavy adult cartoon and Mark Lily was a worse protagonist for the american zeitgeist to latch onto.

Oh oh oh let me guess
your going to say ok again now?
You CLEVER DOG!

They do that when they want to shitcan a show. It usually happens to shows that have a decent to good ratings when it starts sothey sign it on for like 4 seasons or somethingbut then it fucking tanks by the end of season 1 or into season 2. So they shove it into a slot where it would never get the ratings needed to warrant another season. Same thing happened to Mystery Inc., Uncle Grampa, and Ben 10 on CN.

there was never really that much good R34 and it dying means there never will be

Bad writing
Overysed animation
High expectations

Tosh.0 has a budget sub 100k an episode budget and pulls good rerun and on demand ratings. Blame the sub-humans that watch non-stop fail videos to feel good about themselves.

Its more the sub humans who need a professional joke performer to help them understand jokes about people walking into doors while singing about how gay they are.

What the hell is idubbbz doing on here?

>Tosh
>Professional
It's even sadder there's a rip off show on MTV that supplies to a somehow lower denominator than Tosh.

Notice i didn't call him a comedian but rather a professional joke performer?
That's all he's good for, speaking to a camera and reading lines. Not very well at that, you can hear him take deep breaths to read ahead.

Yes, Tosh's readings are really dry without the laugh track. And he doesn't really hit cues very well. But he is a "Professional" in the sense that it is his profession.

...

Actually, the top one is (you), glad to see you crawled back but this time I really am going to bed.
Notice the pic related style you got? Give away.

...

Can I have one of those reaction gifs, sir?

...

It'll even out.

...

Btw that wasn't me

>gif
>not animated
Wretched monkey's paw.

Its a few billion in debt, its losing a lot of its shows to other streaming services. ABC FOX NBC CBS all have their own streaming services now so they are licensing less out to Netflix. It wont be dead over night but it is on a slow decline with little to help it survive in its current form.

Yeah but thats way too much competeition for too many exclusive shows. The bubble is going to burst and netflix will probably be back up unless the cable providers beat them to it. Nobody wans to pay four subscriptions for one TV

Fuck! Stop it! You're not me and your reactions are shit!

I dunno, between Amazon Prime, basic cable, and Netflix you get a pretty good spread of programming

But if you already have cable or satellite you can use the main 4 channels streaming service for no extra cost. Its the cable companies and networks trying to keep the status quo while kinda giving in.

it went away from mark lily experiences weird things and a weird universe with his demon girlfriend. They built the show like the 70s show but with weird mysteries in the first season

it went away from that in second season for the most part and it suffered for it.

Oh, up in Manitoba, Canada the services are run by the cable companies, not sure about the rest of the provences, our telecommunications companies think they're playing Risk or something.

Netflix is the leading streaming content producer in the world. Funding the production of TV and movies that'll be on the service indefinitely is cheaper in the long run than licensing content.

Amazon has tried to catch up, but if the future is web/streaming first content, Netflix is the leader by far.

Your not wrong. But being the leading producer isn't making them money. Amazon is diversified enough to take heavy losses in one area and still make money over all. Disney owns Hulu so that isn't going anywhere. Netflix may lead but they dont have any solid cash coming in. Every lost license costs them subs.

this thread had potential

I just watched the two first episodes and that was incredibly boring.

Thanks for sharing.

It lost focus and started to become another mean spirited wacky sitcom. Honestly, if it did survive, I don't think we'd look back on it so fondly. The second season was already sort of a drop in quality.

It had two seasons and the creators kept saying for years that they were working on a third season until finally admitting that the show as cancelled.

But Mystery Inc. was intended to be just 52 episodes from the start.

Not enough "suck my balls" dialogs.

Ahead of it's time and CC pulled the plug too quickly. Randall was a great character.

>Ahead of it's time

*Ahead of its time

One of my girlfriend's animation teacher worked on this show. He said that everyone hated it while working on it, but the guy who created it was so nice that it was impossible to tell him his show was awful. So when it got canceled they threw him a party to make him feel better.

That's bullshit but I believe it

> Netflix is also dying.
Yeah, like, totally.
Happening right now.

>his show was awful.
But it wasn't.

Flanderization kicked in

That freud picture on the wall though. Nice little reference to Callie

Comedy Central as a whole has been dying since Chappelle left. Tosh.0 is one of the few shows that perform well because it isnt an offputting political circlejerk.

This image is disgusting. Of course only someone autistic enough to proceed with this whole chain of replies would enjoy this

I loved this show

another reason to boycott DC comics if they have that deal with Time Warner being bought by AT&T

don't know. it was genuinely good and made me laugh. maybe cc hates good content and would rather promote the idiocracy
