What's going to happen is they will go to some place like a hospital or a corporation and say "you guys need a diversity consultant or w/e" and then make up some bullshit.
Then these organizations will not actually know what they mean but think "maybe we do need that to minimize legal blowback in certain situations" and then bam, those guys have a do-nothing position making as much money/more money than people with real job skills.
Michelle Obama was community diversity advisor at a Chicago hospital, a job for which she made something like 50k a year with benefits and no one knows what the fuck she did. And when Barack became senator she started pulling in even more, her salary upped into the triple digits. And then when she left to become first lady, they didn't replace her and quietly eliminated the position, because it was worthless garbage that never accomplished a single fucking thing, but once these people are in you can't fire them, so they're in for life.
And if all else fails they will be sucked into the ultimate money hole: government/education, so there will be new administrative positions created for diversity outreach officers and social justice moderators and these people will never leave, will work less hours than you, while making more money, with better benefits, and earlier retirement, and they will never be downsized because government only gets bigger.
This is a nightmare waiting to happen if it catches on.

There is potential for great, important research in psychology, but for the field to actually do that, they need to get rid of the bad people and only attract the good.
