1) Support Jihadists terrorists and Al Quaeda
2) Support Assad
3) Do nothing
Each answer would result in being in a trap.
Most neutral likely would be "attempt to negociate a proper ceaefire with Russia, arbitring the side of rebeles" which is essentially "do nothing" option.
