Bio: Nobody knows who Heart Breaker is, but his earliest signatures began in Detroit where reports of local criminals being found without their hearts. While it first seemed to be the work of a local serial killer, his work started traveling across the country to other cities. He never stayed in a city too long, either due to the police trying to catch up with him or by his own choice. Other names for him include Heart Taker, Heart the Ripper, or That Guy Who Keeps Ripping People's Hearts Out.
Not many people have had the opportunity to see Heart Breaker and live. Heart Breaker seems to have a criteria for hunting criminals and people who have committed wrongs and have gotten away with it. People have reported that they have had their hearts ripped out by Heart Breaker but were only severely tortured with their heart by Heart Breaker. But Heart Breaker seems to take personal satisfaction from ripping out a heart.
People have speculated online what Heart Breaker actually looks like but only recently have actual images emerged of him due to curious fans. Heart Breaker seems to work alone and at odd hours to avoid public interest.
Heart Breaker does not seem to speak. It is not known if he chooses not to speak or just cannot.
Heart Breaker seems to have an affinity for hearts. Even though he is known for ripping out hearts, he is attracted to the shape of a non-anatomical heart. While it is not enough to deter him from an attack, it is bound to distract him momentarily.
Heart Breaker seems to have the strength and finesse of a strong human male. While there is a supernatural quality to his heart ripping, his combat and fighting skills are formidable. It is not advised to assume he is a bad fighter. Heart Breaker does not use guns and gets aggressive when guns are used against him.

Hold a gem on his person (necklace, ring, whatever) get a power based on the mythology behind the gem with culturally relevant ones giving variants on the power or more powerful versions. For example Sapphires are connected to the mind and as such may give mind reading and minor influence while the crown jewels of England may give en masse mind control as one of its powers.

Maybe he'll rob the local museum for a rare rock to see what happens or attack some heroes/villains to test out a gem. But isn't a monster and believes un-powered people should be uninvolved. Either way there is an excessively large bounty on his head due to the issue of how he gets power.
