haha women are so dumb, that's why i never had a girlfriend

>You fool, no man or woman can bill me.
>Check your privilege *kills*

>You fool, no man or woman can kill me.
>I am no man or woman, I'm attack helicopter.

>the knife pippin stabs him with was created specifically to hurt him
huh

...

File, you fools.

YAAASSSS QUEEEEEEN SLAY

They really simplified her character way too much.

To be honest this line () works a lot better than these lines () even though they might be more poetic. It's hard enough suspending disbelief to think that Eowyn can even deliver her one-liner before killing the Witch King. To have her recite a short speech in the middle of a fight in which he does nothing and is still so shocked by her being a woman that he fails to block or dodge or attack her at all in that period is just ridiculous.

Looks like taxposting is back on the menu boys.

>still triggered by a 15 year old movie

Did mery even get any credit for helping there, i mean it wouldn't have worked without him.

He got the vagoona

It's epic fantasy in the vein of Beowulf. Eloquent speeches can be made at any point, and everybody just stops to listen.

>He doesn't understand taxposting
gb2r

>Still not getting it
Stop trying to ruin taxposting with your bullshit

>"Hol up, ain'ta honkymofo man can kilt mes"
>"I's ain'ta man. GRILPOWA!"

That's basically what we got in the movie.

>File it under expenditures, Isildur! Deduct it!
>.....No.
>Isildur!!!!

The Witch King was not going to stand there and wait for some random Rohan soldier give a speech. He had things to do.

kys

are you 14 by any chance

>The Witch King was not going to stand there and wait for some random Rohan soldier give a speech. He had things to do.
Hubris
He had absolutely no fear of her, felt completely secure, and arrogantly indulgent of some posturing fool he was about to smack down
This is an ancient trope

DEEEEBT!
DEEEEEEBT!!

>Arbitrage! Arbitrage, investors of Theoden! Stocks shall be shorted, yield curves shall be plotted! A speculative-day, a volatile day... ere the DOW rises! Buy now! Buy now! Buy! Buy to cover... and the market's closing! Debt! Debt! DEBT!

Can we get down to the taxposting now guys?

>after a lengthy wait in line
We have just agreed.
Yes?
I have sent your pictures to the Entbank, and we have agreed you are not imposters.
Well, that's good news.
And what about our accounts, have you come to a decision about them?
Now now, don't be hasty Master Meridoc.
Hasty? Our loans are due, we need our money. We cannot pay by cash alone!
Debts yes, they affect us all. You must understand, young hobbit, that it takes a long time to process anything with an Ent clerk. And we never process anything unless it is worth a lot of money.

...

>thy
>thy
>thy
>thy
I think I just got cancer from that shit.

>t. triggered LOTR movie autists

Book > Movie

There's nothing you can do about that, kids.

Was it THYroid cancer?

Actually true in my case, woman are too retarded so I never bothered getting a gf.

I like how you posted a cool anime webm to prove how not autistic you are

People would have had to say 'thy' all the time. Why you get angry about it?

What is the Night King's tax policy lads?

Because it sounds fucking ponderous and pretentious. I'm glad we've moved past that linguistically.

>being retroactively triggered because LOTR had a woman in it

seriously?

>literally associating the old english word for "your" in the second person with pretentiousness

lol

It's true you don't see many dwarf-loans. And in fact, they are so alike in derivatives and securitisation that they're often mistaken for dwarf-bonds.

It's the tradeability.

And this in turn has given rise to the belief that there are no Dwarf-loans, and that businesses just spring out of holes in the ground!
Which is of course ridiculous.

>bringing up irrelevant etymology when someone is examining auditory qualities

Every god damn time

>phonetic qualities can be pretentious

Go on user, please do explain how.

He was inclined to a wage freeze

Literaturelet.

...

>american narration

Unironically one of the best "woman power" moments in a film ever. It didn't feel forced.

...

>the witch king rides a Skeksis

That's exactly what I was imagining in my head when reading the text and all the "thy".

im a complete sucker for the animation of that movie. Simply love the fuck out of it...
but the dialogue kills me

Holy shit, I used to watch this film as a kid. I fucking cried.

>he doesn't understand sarcasm
k

We are taxposting.

>hand it over Peregrin Tuk

> Irrelevant etymology when talking about a book written by a philologist and literally based on etymology

So who's who in Tolkien's WWII?

Yeah but not in the movies. That kind of pacing doesn't really work in a movie. So the way they did it, with it abbreviated to something she could reasonably say quickly, makes sense for a movie. I liked it

>that fucking Nazgul voice
It took me so offguard I spit my drink

>us
The good guys
>them
The bad guys
are there any grey characters in LotR?

No, you're reposting the same shit from the last 50 threads because you're a unoriginal cunt without a creative bone in your body.

Gandalf the Grey

>are there any grey characters in LotR?
Depends what you mean.
Good and evil are very central forces in LotR, but Tolkien makes it very clear that no one is 'purely' good - as the ring would corrupt anyone.
Anyway, Denethor is a pretty grey character, and one of the most underrated.

Most of them are and I have a girlfriend, and I calll them dumb out loud

>did Merry get any credit?
He can get interest free loans from Aragon any time he wants.

in LOTR not sooo much, but in his other stories yeah.

Feanor did nothing wrong

I fucking love that.

youtube.com/watch?v=jltwAEQ4kGg

This was a good thread.

feanor is Sup Forums's fantasy self insert.

...

>You fool, no man or woman can kill me.
>I am no man or woman, I'm CIA

...

>I bear a charmed life, which must not yield, to one of woman born..
>Despair thy charm; And let the angel whom thou still hast served tell thee, Macduff was from his mother's womb, untimely ripp'd.
Bravo Shakespeare

Reminder that being a woman had nothing to do with it and the witch king could have been killed by a male Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit or Maiar at any point.

what the fuck how can you take some boring adult shit and make it funny?

With wit.

Yeah but that was not in Witch king's prey slaying policy

Trudeau: Sterling!
Turnbull: Sterling?
[Turnbull spots a dying MEP on the ground, laughing. He bends down and points his dollar at it.]
Turnbull: Tell me what happened and I will ease your devaluation.
MEP: It's… (cough)… crashed. (Laughs). It took a little tumble in the market.
[The MEP laughs, blood bubbling in his mouth. He falls back dead. Trudeau stands up but sees the tenner in the MEPs hand.]
[Trudeau and Turnbull approach the cliff and look down into the river below. Trump approaches behind them.]
Trump: Get the gold on horses. The wolves of IMF will return. Leave the pound.

Jesus christ

Meme peaked right there. These threads are sad parodies

alt right will be probably calling this SJW even though it aired in 2003

>exhentai
A man of refined tastes I see.

Kek

>buy now
Shit man I lost it at that

>t.virgin

Kek

Kekked hard, super underrated.

People don't appreciate reports.
Then again, they also don't appreciate OC.

>are there any grey characters in LotR?
Saruman, Faramir, Denethor, Boromir and even Sauron. All of Tolkiens villains, even Melkor, have some gray in them. Honestly the only characters who remain virtuous and good for the entirety of the story are Gimli, Legolas, Merry, Pippin and Sam.

And every good guy in the Silmarilion is an asshole to some extent.

fucking skeletor nazgul

Sup Forumseddit is that way pal

What about second mortgages?

Even then though, Sam does have somewhat of an internal struggle when he's bearing the ring.
It is a shame that so many people oversimplify the morality of Tolkien's work.

So bullshit anime time for speech is just something else they ripped off Western classics?

The Witch King is about 5,000 years old at this point. His use of archaic language is supposed to convey that to you.

>the wealth of moria is not in gold or jewels but in mythril. of course they don't pay taxes on it because the dwarves don't have turbotax and the only cpa in the mountain was stabbed to death by by a goblin

You cracked wised and three people didn't get it.
I hope this doesn't happen irl, buddy,as that was a fun read.
Best of luck user. ( Not being sarcastic, that was a fun read)

Thank you

why does the slightest discussion on the internal logic of Tolkein's universe?

Why do fat neckbeards discuss LOTR lore for hours on end going into every last detail of everything but sperg out if you bring up how any of it is governed?

GRRM wasn't even criticizing LOTR, when will you get over your butthurt?

>Bring your pretty face to my tax assessor!

Can anyone explain to me just what in the FUCK he meant here?

>I think I just got cancer
I'm fine with that,pussy.
