I am eternal, child

I am eternal, child
I am the eater of worlds, and of children!

Not even the turtle can help you now nother fucker

>turtle god made the universe
>underage fuck train
>giant eldritch alien monstrosity that transforms into a clown to eat children
>turtle god and clown are eternal enemies and keep the balance of the universe
Is Stephen King some sort of weirdo?

The turtle and IT are not enemies. There is a separate 'Being' who is not the turtle or IT.

IT and the turtle do not keep the universe in balance.

IT is more like a blackhole with a physical body that feeds primarily on fear

Did you even read the book user?

I read it many years ago and I was sure of everything I was saying.
No I won't read it again it was shit the first time.

the tie-in novel? I rarely read those, is it worth it?

ZONALT ZOMP

>I am the eater of worlds, and of children!
This is such an incredibly retarded line it's hard to believe a fully functioning adult really wrote it.

>book
>grand climactic mystical with an ageless monstrosity beyond human comprehension
>movie
>everyone just beats the shit out of a clown with metal poles

>The turtle and IT are not enemies.
They are actually, according to the Dark Tower Novels. IT is the Demon Elemental who is in direct conflict with It's local Beam Guardian, Maturin the Turtle. IT devouring children was a (very slow) process which would have eventually caused that Beam to collapse, and would allow the Red to take over.

Why is it SO mean?!

i haven't read the book but i assume he's alluding to the naïve and primal nature of a child's fears. when we are children, we don't really fear the same things we do as adults. instead of being afraid of becoming destitute or going to jail, we fear being eaten by a monster in our closet. it's supposed to be a goofy line, because IT is trying to make use of the children's fears. alternatively, IT simply says that because he IS a boogieman in a book where children try to defeat him, so from a childish point of view, that's what a boogieman would say.

i could be entirely wrong though

Look boys, he's a fuckin' PEDO!!!

what do you think?

>My final form is a drider

What did IT mean by this?

>Oh god, he's evil!
>No, child. Worse. I'm smart.

cleanshirt

For some reason i read this in Colbert's voice. Too many memes and now im hallucinating

To be fair, you need to have a very high iq to be able to understand IT

Or be high on coke.
Either or.

He just forgot to mention main his co-author: cocaine.

IT woul've been better off becoming the cinema desk guy and feed off the fear and anxiety of fa/tv/irgins.

It was there interpretation of his true form, his true form was actually a cosmic monstrosity.

If turning into its true form would blow the Loser's minds, why didn't it just do that?

The Bible say "Judge not, lest ye be judged" but I'm just gonna say it, IT was a real jerk!

I am eternal, I am the eater of worlds
NOOOO! Friendship and imagination! My only weakness!
Save me Henry aaaaaaugggghhh

IT's true form is bigger than the whole solar system, though.

>nooooo, steel pipes and feminist riot girls my one weakness
>imma kill dis fucking clown

Is IT some sort of idiot or something?

It's not goofy because Pennywise says he's going to eat the kids, it's goofy because he opens by saying he eats worlds and then follows up by saying he also eats children. It's a comically huge step down in significance from the first thing. It's like saying "I'm the eater of children, and of donuts"

>Bev
>Feminist
Wash your mouth with soap

>children live on worlds, butthead!

Look, it was the heat of the moment, he didn't prepare his lines, and he just wanted to clarify to the children that yes, he not only eats worlds, but children as well.

t. Pennywise

It's true form is actually larger than the entire universe ( IT views it as a "tiny egg"), but eh. Technicalities.

don't be a nerd.

He was being more specific so the kids knew he was talking about them specifically. It would have less impact on them if he just said worlds.
It's like how seeing a building full of people fall down doesn't effect you as much as watching one person get stabbed to death.

Do you think his 'tisms got in the way when he said he came to rape all the men?

Clearly. He's a reality warping immaterial demigod from beyond the stars that somehow got himself trapped in a fucking sewer in Maine spooking little kids by reenacting B-movie scenes. He's a giant fucking loser by the standards of transcendent celestial beings.

Can someone explain to me why Stephen King thought making IT part of his dark tower series wasn't stupider than the self write-in he did? Do fans of king actually enjoy this and not find it cheesy?
It baffles my mind that there was no editor telling him he was retarded.

Why does he get hurt by slingshot and the power of friendship?

How the fuck should I know? I just watched the fucking movie.

> underrated

>Flub delivery
>Silently wonder to yourself if they noticed it, but continue anyways
>Sit in the sewers for hours thinking about how embarrassing it was, and how you could have handled it better

didn't you read the tie-in novel?

As I said technicalities. It doesn't really matter in the end, IT'seems true form is still too big for this universe/10. Also:

IT isn't "trapped my friend. It's- exactly- where It wants to be. The town of Derry -only- exists because IT deems it so. Derry is, for all intents and purposes, a part of IT.

This is battery acid, you slime!

Nah. I don't have the time to read, unfortunately.

ugh

Chud's mud and crud

>i'm an all-powerful, eternal entity who WANTS to spend all his time pretending to be a clown and bullying 12-year-olds!
>i've chosen to use my infinite supernatural potential like this ON PURPOSE dude, i LIKE doing this
>u just can't understand the esoteric complexities of my motives
Is IT the supreme ironic shitposter?

IT is closer to a -massively- lazy NEET, really. All It cares about is snacking on children like how we would eat KFC and sleeping. It doesn't really care about anything else besides It's own comfy lifestyle.

So why did Pennywise turn into a skeleton?

ENORMOUS GIRTH

...

you could have just posted a screencap from any of his recent twitter posts

>Can someone explain to me why Stephen King thought making IT part of his dark tower series wasn't stupider than the self write-in he did?

Because most of his stories are connected to the Dark Tower

I argue the exact opposite, it elevates the fact that he eats children to the same significance as him eating worlds - which is right, because eating worlds is far too vast of a concept for the human mind to grasp, whereas being killed and eaten yourself is in fact the end of your world. To a child, meeting a being that eats children is as, if not more terrifying than meeting a being that eats worlds.

Additionally, it brings attention to the fact that while he eats worlds, thus making him a cosmic monstrosity of unfathomable power, he also deigns to personally kill and eat individual children out of pure malice. It shows how utterly, monstrously evil he is that he would use his literal god powers to torment and feast on the innocent - unlike Lovecraft's elder gods, who destroy the world by accident and without even noticing humanity at all, IT is a malevolent predator that purposefully wants to bring suffering.

Fanboyism is one hell of a drug.

>>>/9fag/

It doesn't even have a watermark.

People actually read this trash? Jesus christ.

I've never read or watched any iteration of this story, I only know the main plot points and context so I'd like to think my analysis of one single phrase is fairly unbiased.

we all think the same about your posts faggot

The difference is my post is just one sententce read in less than a second, Stephen King's trash is 1000+ page books, so yeah the latter is much more surprising.

wtf am I pennywise?

But why? The relevance of IT to the dark tower besides the monster is literally nothing. It's one thing if it's the monsters back story, but it's just the story of some kids. His dark tower books may be considered his "masterpiece", they suffer basically the same thing, they end up being about King and not Deschain, with King being introduced in this other world, I guess what I'm really trying to say is what does any of this contribute to kings writing? It just seems like tacky self references that will have the people who already riding Stephens dick to grind it just a little harder.

>The relevance of IT to the dark tower besides the monster is literally nothing.
Actually, it isnt. Several of the books tied to the wider Dark Towerverse drop hints and references tieing back to earlier novels (Insomnia, and "PENNYWISE LIVES" for instance). The Dark Tower novels were -also- the ones to explain IT's nature as one of the six Demon Elementals, as well as Maturin and his connection to the Twelve Beam Guardians. The novels even introduce Dandelo (pic related) who is a similar entity to IT, and might even be one of It's spawn that survived the Losers' final confrontation with IT. Everything ties back to the Dark Tower my friend, and IT IS no exception to this.

...

Will anyone ever do a version with the ACTUAL ending?
