I dont think they are about the Nation, but instead their "Dear Leader"

They sacrifice the individual for the greater good of the perceived collective.

Meaning whatever their communist leader wants.

No, they embrace a very unique type of national communism, called Juche

Juche is a National Socialist ideology founded by the great Kim Il Sung. A strongly centralised hierarchical racial rule. Population is infused with fanatic pride and militancy. Foreigners have no power and are forbidden from fornicating with Koreans.

How much would this question be of value to a poor, rural farmer in North Korea, who operates with a mostly sustenance level of farming and hears nothing of any change in his world

North Korea to me seems like barely anything, just a strange throw back to a forgotten era. I think this is self evident in their barely functioning Soviet planes.

North Korea is a cult

>mfw DPRK literally gave Trump the presidency on a pedestal

the future looks bright, goybros
bright white in fact

>you will never have a nationalist korean waifu

I think it's more of a theocracy based on Kim

what did they mean by this ?

Clearly. it says on their name!

Best Korea is People's Democratic Republic of Korea

and Best Korea seems to enjoy exploding nukes on their own home turf instead of at others. Mostly due to the fact they would probably nuke China by accident.

National Communism is Better than National Socialism

No, they're Stalinist which is what Hitler fought against.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_fascism

i thought they where closer to maoism ?

NK is indeed a National Socialist dictatorship in practice.

Keep in mind however, the country is still holding together despite the embargoing and constant sabotage by practically the entire planet.

They're pretty successful considering the odds they're against.

the chinks know

Both are true. They're very similar ideologies anyway. Mao and Kim Song il were helped by Stalin after the Japanese were driven out.

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_fascism
National Communism just sounds better, desu.

>natcoms of the world, unite against the oppressive capitalist hegemony!

Still, it's retarded, but cute.

north korea 69er ghostalist

Just saying, but Stalinism is a consistent ideology, basically Marxism-Leninism. Juche has removed all references to communism, Marx and Lenin. The fact that Stalin helped someone (for his own interests) 70 years ago doesn't mean anything today. And it didn't mean much then. Greece had pure Stalinists that Stalin DIDN'T help, because it didn't fit his (Russia's) geopolitical interests.

They're communists.

Marx and Lenin believed in a world wide Communist and Stateless revolution while Stalin pioneered "Socialism in one country." North Korea is nothing like what Marx or Lenin spoke of.

NKIBK

You better pick up one of Stalin's books and see how he argues that the USSR was truly a socialist country, a la Marx and Lenin. That's what he argued, that's Stalinism. NK doesn't even argue that. I don't think they make references to socialism much. It's s like they're almost non-political but all about that authoritarianism.
