When the Indian Government decides to make the street you live on "designated", does the real estate value drop, because whenever you step outside there's shit everywhere - or does the real estate value spike because you gain an ensuite bathroom?

Serious question: how is infrastructure development right now? It's always seemed to me that if India could just finally build up some really efficient and innovative housing, road, and public works projects they'd finally reach first-world standards of living. You already have a massive economy. I get its a long and expensive process but what's the situation on that right now?

It actually increases the real estate value, the closer to the designated shitting street the higher the real estate value.
I hear a common way to pick up chicks at bars in India is to accidentally drop a fake ID with an address right next to a designated street. It's the Indian equivalent of pulling out a set of keys with a Porsche key chain.
