I honestly like the obnoxiously different social structure animes and shows, but KLK I tried to force myself to like but I made it to a mohawk sewing gun guy and just gave up. Like I was pretty sure I could guess how it'd end and so it became a chore.

I really liked it, and the fact that the show portrayed Jayden's character sympathetically while also poking at the problems with his rich lifestyle didn't seem like a problem to me like any critics said. I thought that was a plus.

I don’t really wanna get into the heavy conversations going on in this thread. All I have to say is I’ve watched two episodes so far and I enjoy the show quite a bit. It’s just so absurd that it’s good.

Being serious, if you watch the show enough, you might be more entertained than you would expect, with its bizarre humor and premise, verbose lines, and laughing at the show, (not with it), at how much it combines so lazily so many anime tropes, but make no mistake, it's an abysmal show. Pretty much every 4kids show has undeniably better voice acting and editing, especially the latter part, with the score being atrocious, (with either dead silence most of the time, or tasteless Bach). Even the writing is arguably better for children cartoons because there are usually more stakes involves than for here, when it's about Jaden's self-insert/Mary Sue being some exorcist, or something, with the main conflict about not getting girls, and being less eligible than the cliche douche.

SAO is a good anime. It changed the anime industry, created an entire sub-genre and introduced a novel concept of virtual reality that no anime past, present or future will be able to match. It was that kind of a big deal. Only losers dismiss SAO.

It’s a legit bad show. I watched the first episode when it came out, and while I thought it set up a lot of unique, funny ideas it doesn’t execute on any of them, instead trying to focus on Kaz’s teen drama.

Then I watched it high.
