Oh fuck yeah
Do wish I had a 4k for this how soon?
I have rewatched the original at least once per year since it released, so I am unbearably hyped for this.
first episode comes out end of October
Don't know if Zimmer will do better than the original theme music. Some of the best ever

Yeah Blue Planet remains my favorite of the Attenborough documentaries. Hopefully this will live up to expectations (and also that it doesn't become too "story" based)
i loved the original blue planet series i just hope it's easy to pirate since im not some sort of britbong
usually takes an hour or two which can suck
Why are they calling it a prequel yet labeling it as part 2?
It doesn't make any sense at all.
Going by the video description, then I think "prequel" is just a grandiose term for this trailer
>This world-exclusive introduction to the show is narrated by series presenter Sir David Attenborough and set to an exclusive track developed by Hans Zimmer and Radiohead. The prequel features an array of some of the most awe-inspiring shots and highlights from the new series, as well as several exclusive scenes that will not feature in any of the seven episodes which are set for UK broadcast on BBC One later this year.
kino inbound

Absolutely kino shot.

Does Thom Yorkes whiny voice really have to invade every facet of my fucking life
>we're getting another deep sea trench kino
FFFUUUUCCKKKKKK
Looks amazing. PUMPED
...
He is starting to sound really old and tired now ;_;
The two or three of these shots they showed looked great really weird just seeing fish all lined up like that its great
it's fine, he'll be fine
looks like panet kino is back boys
he's going to make it for at least another 10 years... isn't he bros?
>Sir David Attenborough
>Hans Zimmer
>Radiohead
Holy shit.
Shut up you cunt.
what happens when the Queen and Attenborough die in the same year?
The collapse of the empire finalizes.
is that a whale-cam
Attenborough had better live another 25 years.
I'll probably wait for the 4k Blu Ray release. Planet Earth II was insane.
will they show all the plastic, poo, oil, junk and corpses from pajeets and cruisers too?
Fuck off Martin.
go to vice for that literal garbage.
>"kino"
Shut the fuck up you cunts. Stop trying to sully a great piece of work with your childish meme speak.
I'm sure David will forgive me
goes to Sup Forums complains about the word kino
how stupid are you ?
>not a single great white in the trailer
Hmmm. I hope there's some footage of them in there. I don't care how over-saturated the coverage of them is, I could watch them breaching for hours.
>tfw Attenborough can't have that many years left in him
Documentaries will never be the same without him.
"Kino" in its current use has barely existed on this board for a year.
Plastic episode will be saved for the finale.
Jokes on you, I'm actually German.
These things focus on the beauty of the wild instead of the way we ruin it. I think it's a much better way to aproach environmentalism.
yeah this.
can't wait for (((attenborough's))) hamfisted climate change monologue after every episode
>it's a deep sea episode
You don't believe in climate change?
>it's a sperm whale versus giant octopus episode
Pls.
not if it's put next to clips of human factories and cars and busy cities. Shit belongs in fantasy.
not him but I don't believe in Al Gore's version of climate change
Shit really doesn't. And even if you don't believe that human CO2 pollution causes global warming, you can't really deny the fact that we're chopping down the rainforest, ruining wildlife habitats and polluting the ocean.
An inconvienient truth painted a worst case scenario that was untrue, yes.
hype
Why is water kino so good lads?
>the prequel
what
It's a preview. Get it?
looks like cgi
have cameras gone too far?
What am I looking at here?
I was expecting a comment like this, I'm just surprised how far I had to scroll down to find one.
Is Sup Forums actually improving?
jellyfish
Portuguese man o'war. It's a venomous siphonophore, a colony organism composed of multiple animals. Can be deadly, although rarely.
Not a jellyfish.
>all those beautiful scenes of cetaceans
I don't know what it is about them but I find dolphins and whales so majestic. I'm grateful I got to see a humpback in Iceland last year, and I can't wait to see more in this series.
Are we going to be able to stream this in 4K or will we need to buy the 4K DVD?
lol, the trailer is the "prequel" to Part 2. Part 2 is NOT the prequel.
>that tfw there won't be random close ups and guitar twangs, with bizarre editing, like Ameridockino
streaming won't have the same quality as 4k BDs anytime soon
The plot is going to incorporate some time travel.
Allahu...
eh, part of the fun of quality nature documentaries is getting exposed to all kinds of more unusual animals
I mean, If I told you 2 years ago the single best nature documentary moment in the past 2 decades would involve a baby iguana, would you have believed me?
Oh great, another CGIfest.
Oh Gawd YES!
oh.
Oh.
OH.
OOOOOOOOH YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
Post nature shit.
...
>British documentary
>here, in the jungles of Bhata-Tuthu, the praying mantis is in search of its prey
>3 minutes of very clean and uninterrupted footage of the praying mantis following a spider
>American documentary
>guitar riff playing in the background
>YOU PROBABLY WOULDN'T WANT ONE OF THESE KILLERS IN YOUR BACK YARD
>rapid jump cuts of the praying mantis
>THE PRAYING MANTIS MIGHT LOOK LIKE A BUG IN CHURCH, BUT THIS NASTY MOTHER-SUCKER IS NOT TO BE MESSED WITH
>more flashy jump cuts
>THIS LITTLE SPIDER DOESNT KNOW WHATS WAITING FOR HIM, THE FURY OF THE MANTIS IS NOT TO BE UNDERESTIMATED
>more flashy jump cuts
>the mantis strikes
>strange animal growling and screeching noises are dubbed in as it attacks because silent footage is too boring for Americans
>slow mo replay of the attack in black and white
>AND IT'S OVER IN A FLASH
>THAT LITTLE SPIDER
>SHOULD'VE PRAYED
>TO THE MANTIS
>starwipe to the next clip
Hell yes!
There was waaaay too many artificial sound effects in Planet Earth 2. They need to reign that shit in.
They fucked up Planet Earth 2 though, it had all those ridiculous American sound effects.
Hope they improved their CGI game, Planet Earth II was way too easy to spot
Only good thing to come out of the communist BBC
Yeah it was very noticeable. Seems like they are continuing in this direction though with those radiohead vocals
Was it the American Blue Planet that changed the narration from Attenborough to Pierce Brosnan? Like why the fuck would you switch one Brit for another.
How do I reach this level of comfy?
Sorry pal, you have to be born that way.
Thanks. Can't believe how unreal it looks.
all the sound effects in every bbc nature documentary are artificial, and always have been.
it's all done in foley.
it impossible to record useable audio in the field. you can't exactly stick a lapel mic on the animal.
Waterkino>Snowkino>Junglekino>Deseertkino
planet earth 2 wanted way too much and turned out mediocre and kinda disappointing. except the black stallion taking the womyn of the white stallion. that was really deep.
but nothing can top the first one
he's just doing the theme song
people forget about humankino
underrated because attenborough didn't narrate it. it's one of my favourites of all the bbc nature docs though. some truly flabbergasting cinematography.

>Snowkino
Good taste senpai, I loved the North Pole/South Pole episode
reminder that coral reefs will LITERALLY be extinct by the end of the century
So?
Besides king of limbs radio head has a pretty good recent track record for a 30 year old band
