What is the consensus on the return now? I still love it as much as i did
Flawed masterpiece
I pretty much do as well. Some things that I have calmed down on a little bit and maybe enjoy less with the larger context of the show, but overall it was amazing. Definitely up there with the original.
/tpg/ will never die
it'll be the next /ksg/
>the last tpg was the first to die since May before reaching bump limit
This is it, user. The beginning of the end
...
Very rough around the edges, but otherwise literally the best thing I've seen on tv this year, hell, in a very long time probably.
>Dougiekino
>jarring, disconnected scenes such as the road rage lady, Jerry's talking foot, 119, etc.
>gorgeous cinematography
>episode 8
>Audrey's dance reversed
>Dean Hurley's weird, industrial soundscape
>that gut-puncher finale
My only issues are the lack of Angelo and the number of unresolved plotlines, but if there is a next season hopefully becky's death might finally be explored in more detail.
/tpg/ is NOT dying.
>kills yuor thread
i really liked this show but i have not enough time to hang around i love you guys
just two bros being dudes...
totes NOT gay!!!
Lynch reminded the rest of the clowns creating tv content how far they still are from his craft, even though everyone's been trying to replicate the original TP for decades.

Poor Ed...
WIIIILSOOONN HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOUUUUUUUUUU
noooo /tpg/ don't die ;_;
Just finished season 2 the other day and got through half of fire walk with me before my dumbass roomate interrupted me and got all depressed and wanted me to play smash bros.
C'mon guys wake up and start posting :(

Ty based lunch bro for keeping it alive
The return on Amazon is listed as season 1! That's pretty positive right?
Lucy was the hero we deserved.
>posting in the first season 4 /tpg/
Sleep tight Sheryl ;___;
...
you died already /tpg/, move one
Rewatching the show, I'm on season 2 now, really excited to rewatch this, first time around I did not enjoy it nearly as much as the first season but retroactively everything I've come to love from Twin Peaks has kind of been the darkness that season 2 brought. Which is something that was further solidified by my current rewatch of season 1, it's really good and sharply focused, excellent at handling multiple storylines but keeping them all related to the main mystery of Laura, but it has none of that dark edge.
The first episode is kind of weak, though, a lot of highlights but a ridiculous amount of it just feels like the characters going over what already happened last season, reminding the audience of the events, some really terrible scenes too.
Season 2 is a fucking mess, even the first 9 episodes, but man when it hits, it hits hard.
give up, get a life
Post your favorite Twin Peaks music.
Mine currently is Johnny Jewel - Windswept
Snake Eyes by Trouble
where is annie?
>"This one goes out to all you neets out there, you are loved and felt by Angelo!"
pink room / blue frank
>Don’t expect a turkey dog in here, Donna
What did the Muffin mean by this?
...
...
what did she whisper to him?
777 chick gone to heaven
is that the girl from the 50's subplot?
she died some years early
user...
Somebody enhanced the audio but that can be made out is “only I can see your dark heart” and the rest is too hard to hear. It’s on soundcloud
daily reminder that cooper was the killer
/tpg/ will never die. Season 4 here we come!
but who was the victim?
somebody explain to me that episode, you know which one i mean
the universe
he sent Maddy back to Missoula
Post characters that remind you of yourself
For me it’s Laura Palmer – intelligent, nihilistic and with a wicked sense of humor.
for me it is sarah palmer - i can be your typical weird guy but make me angry and i will turn into a twisted fucking psychopath and kill you
CUTE!!
you'll see
CUTER!
CUTEST!
god i wish i was that puppet
...
shame all the fuss and public hype died in about month
I remember back in 90s people intensively talked about s2 ending for months, boycotted when s3 wasnt happening and all they hype surrounding fwwm which was later totally hated on.
life was better back then
Anyone have the .gif of the close-up of Sarah Palmer's face when she slowly smiles from FWWM?
She a cute.
Haha yeah imagine if Sheryl Lee had her arm up your ass lol
Little Nicky, is in fact, actually Satan
haha lol that would be crazy
haha, yeah I couldn't even imagine...
^-^'''
This isn't true, though. People were largely hating on Twin Peaks during season 2, after the premiere didn't reveal the killer.
By the time the finale aired, people were kind of done with it.
What happened to the laura that appeared in the end of FWWM?
Is it future? Or is it past?
>walk into doctor's office
>"Time for your prostate checkup, user"
What do you do in this scenario?
Is it future? Or is it past?
she get rip
I was just watching the season finale on my iPhone 8 and...am I right that they turned David Bowie into a tea kettle? WTF.
diane and coop college au
God darn it, it's not a kettle!
Kyle is such a goofball
...
It's generally agreed upon here that the ending of FWWM is at an indeterminate point in time, but in terms of sequencing it should probably be considered as the very last event– It's the ending to laura's story proper, ascending to heaven while cooper watches over to her.
Imo it's before The Return and that's why Cooper is surprised to see her in S3. Just my take though.
> this is a grown ass man
i consider all old images of kyle and dern to be diane and cooper.
...
I dunno man, if Cooper really was present when Laura ascended in FWWM, why would he go even further in his attempts to save her? I feel like the S3 finale is Coop being so utterly determined to prevent her death that he is willing to entirely reorder the world, even if it means allowing her suffering to continue (there's no guarantee leland isn't going to continue molesting her just because bob was killed 25 years later). The ending to FWWM is cooper finally letting go and giving laura the peace in death she deserves.
me too. i also think about blue velvet as being au prequel to twin peaks in a way.
> pic related is gordon havin a talk with coop and diane at the fbi academy
what is it then?
For me it's Dougie - I'm a foreigner.
Literally the only thing I don't like about it is Cole's revalation that they know who Judy is and everything was planned from the beginning. I like the whole major Briggs angle but I'd prefer it if Coop and Cole weren't in on it.
>tfw we'll never find out how gordon lost his hearing
I have 2 personalities
imagine if you met Kyle haha and he handcuffed you to a chair and told you to suck him off wow wouldn't that be crazy
...
It'll all make sense user, but only if you buy my book, Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier!
>laura dern's feet
She's so pretty but christ if those toes aren't a total bonerkill
It's the best TV show of all time
google is free for everyone, pal
> I sculpted that part of the machine that has that tea kettle spout thing,” David Lynch tells Pitchfork, “but I wish I’d just made it straight, because everybody thinks it’s a tea kettle. It’s just a machine.”
they look like they're related, they have such similar jaws
I was okay with that honestly.
The only thing I didn't like is how Cooper and Albert don't acknowledge each other in 17. Cooper just says "Gordon" as if Albert wasn't there.
I know they weren't as close to each other as Gordon and Cooper were but come on. Albert doesn't even react to seeing him either.
Other than that it was perfect for me desu.
there's a rumor on dugpa going around how audrey was supposed to have scenes with the hornes but fenn was being a cunt about money and didn't make the filming and her role ended up getting cut down when she finally agreed to come back.
do you think its true or just bullshit?
imagine you meet Kyle and he cuts your arms off haha and then white all over you and screams haha that would be funny?
...
lol that would relly be funny!
