why does the thumbnail makes it look like a reality/docu?
Is that thing real?
Its shit.
Its going to try and be mysterious and horror lite, constantly teasing something ominous. Its probably going to end up preachy with an abrupt ending shot of Hershlags face as she tries to act.
Mommy is aging with such grace.
i might actually watch this because so far they're not shoving down our throats how the film stars women.
Looks like a stranger things meets Stalker with more of a stranger things horror element to it
Shite
if they stick to the book this is based on it'll be very mysterious and lovecraftian with no answers forthcoming. i'm pleased to see they got the barrier and the lighthouse in there but what I really want to know is if they kept the fucking scribbler
Pathetic
Some kind of adventure chick flick
>if they stick to the book this is based on it'll be very mysterious and lovecraftian with no answers forthcoming
That basically describes the entire series of books. Its a bunch of people running around and nothing ever gets answered. You've got copies of people running around, finding out there copies, and then just running around some more. Why the "area" even exists is never answered. Why its spreading is never answered. Its just a bunch of nothing that leads nowhere. Its like the author read Roadside Picnic or watched/played Stalker and decided to copy.
The entire thing is just going to be special effects with no real finale.
>All praise The Monolith.
>Onward, warriors of The Monolith.
>Bring death to those who've spurned the holy power of The Monolith.
If we don't get Duty vs Freedom we riot.
not sure why that's such a bad thing. there are already way too many flicks that overexplain everything. I for one welcome the dawn of ambiguous kino.
>Sci-Fi Kino
Trailer looks pretty awful.
I read the book series - It's not good.
Also - The Husband role is basically nothing. The role the Asian guy is playing, in the book, is basically Oscar Isaac on the page. I'm kind of amazed he's playing the husband and not that role.
Anyway, it looks bad, and the book wasn't much to write home about to begin with.
Not him, but I hated the books too. There's too many stories that are just random weird shit happening with vague endings because "ur imagination is better than anything I could write"
So why the fuck are we paying to see or read what you imagined.
If this is just an adaptation of the first book - woof. It's going to be straight garbage.
When they cast Isaac I thought it would fold into the second book.
There is a shot where her and Rooney Mara (?) are looking at shit on the wall. Didn't look like what I pictured, but it is probaly it.
Why would you NOT have the scribbler? There's nothing else in the book to really feature.
the CGI looks crap
otherwise I'm hyped as fuck
>not sure why that's such a bad thing.
because you are retarded
I think you're a shill because you've made this generic thread multiple times now.
...
...
Natalie looking old as fuck
Yeah, I was just going to say that pretentious fucker is really into stalker. I dont think he went far enough to read the book tho. Anyway exmachina was pretty stupid, and this could be the same. Neat visuals and theme, but kinda shallow.
jen or nat?
Someone add in footage of Palestinians getting shot
I just wiki'd the series it is based off of
this is going to crash and burn, the first film might do well but if they go through with any of the other books then it will fail completely and utterly
also from the trailers the movie already looks like it's a hodge podge of all the books, that already isn't a promising sign
ikr, isn't it weird how actors get older and older every year? what's up with that shit?
> you fucking moron, it'll happen to you
> if you don't OD on fentanyl first
Stalker for retards?
Some age like wine, some age like milk. Natalie did the latter. That was the point.
She's had two kids
And there's her problem.
So this is SCP Foundation the movie?
Meh
>from the ex machina director
oh so its shit then? that movie was terrible. the ending was a smack in the face
it is sort of explained. it seems to be an alien ecosystem restoration mechanism trying to colonize earth or somthing very similar
So is this some watered down mix of "Roadside Picnic" and Ballard's "Crystal World"?
kind of mad that this is coming out february of 2018. wish it was pushed up earlier to a busier season
bro, she's in her late thirties. cut her some fucking slack. also, she looked great in song to song which filmed only 3 years ago
you got a problem with this?
>bro
what did he mean by this
bro
Her stomach must look like a date
The books are extremely mediocre, a straight adaptation wouldn't be good. If the director takes elements from them all and does his own thing it's a coinflip between being good and being a garbage fire.
I am cautiously optimistic, since I liked the teaser.
If that's the case I'll just have to fill it up again.
looks p. cool
too bad it stars a piece of cardboard
>Was it carbon based?
How the fuck could she now that?
Yes she's an actress
Sicklands movie when?
she's a biologist
>Can I copy your homework?
>Yeah just change it up a bit so it doesn't look obvious you copied
are there any redeeming qualities you could think of??? Like the imagery, concept, and what not?
movie looks like shit
and has a shit lead actress
not interested
All known living creatures are carbon based. Pretty easy question.
Is this another angry stronk independent womyn scientist soldier who needs no man movie which ends with muh feels?
She's a Biologist actually. And she's searching for her Husband who was on a similar expedition, then came back, except wrong, before vanishing.
