Yep. When they recast him, I thought they were going to go with a younger portrayal of him. Instead, he's portrayed in the film as this weary, aged, beaten man. Mel would have honestly fit that role better.
But, oh, he said mean things before, better not cast him, because Mad Max is a squeaky clean, G-rated film series.
