yup.. TNG would be the most comfiest era to explore in with the enterprise..

TOS is less comfy and more dangerous to explore...however that makes it more adventurous too

TNG is closest to my heart. DS9 is still spectacular. And yet, I cannot disagree with OP. Somewhere in the back of my head, I know you're right, and I cannot argue.

TOS didnt have the pretensions of the other series.

Its a shame they can't do that mixture of sci fi and adventure without delving into shallow action trash these days.

Watching paint dry is unironically super comfy though.

TOS by far has my favorite main cast. The banter between Kirk, Spock, and McCoy always kept me interested even in the bad episodes. Plus it helps TOS actually got some great movies out of it.
