Will we ever get a good Ayn Rand movie? I fucking loved Atlas Shrugged and Objectivism is god-tier ideology, but the movie of Atlas Shrugged sucked.

Maybe if we had gotten a good book, and good movie would be easier to make.

>Objectivism is god-tier ideology
No it isn't, kid. Graduate High School before you post here again.

I'm a bit libertarian-leaning, and even I couldn't stomach that book. The level of idealism reminds me of communism.

wasn't ayn rand on welfare

Have you seen the Helen Mirren movie?

because commies took her jew gold

Died in a public housing complex as well

>because tired unoriginal posts are the best

Ayn Rand was a miserable jew that died weak and relying on others

...

Sounds like atlas shrugged her out onto the pavement

The movies were as good if not better than their source material.

you can't make a good movie about people whining incessantly about trains, metals and economic policies

book was ok

>Rush is very embarassed by this. Geddy Lee disowned it as 70s wankery & looking for *anything* different tobe different.. gee sounds like the special ubermensch. kek.

I really like the book even though I think "objectivism" is an embarassing name for an ideology. It's just a book about communism, I don't understand how so many people get so emotional about it.
Anyone who posts this hasn't actually read the book and is just parroting what they heard on the internet.

They're embarrassed by Caress of Steel too. They hate all of their best albums

neither has anyone who thinks Objectivism is a good idea.

Yes

I think copying one's world view from any single source is a bad idea but objectivism makes some genuine observations about the human spirit. Maybe partly because I come from a deeply socialist environment and many of the antagonists in the book feel extremely familiar and not as caricatural as an American might find them. All the shit about equalization of opportunity etc. is something I might read about in the newspaper, if not in the news section then at least the editorial pieces.

Plus I simply liked it as a fictional novel.

>but Rush and Fly By Night are their best albums...

The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged were both fun works of fiction marred by rampant idealism masquerading as philosophy. Rand was both extremely talented and a fucking moron. Her faggot fanbase is worse. The female precursor to David Foster Wallace.

Any movie of these books will inevitably suck unless they change the speeches of the characters.

nah man
