Psychology as a field was really productive and interesting during the 30s to 60s. Then it became bullshit about feelings and social justice. I always attributed this to women entering academia.
But what if the real reason is because mind control programs were so successful that the government basically co-opted real psychology, hid it away, and distracted the rest of academia with a silly feminized bullshit version of it?

Look at spirituality. Women get a female-centric religion, Paganism/Wicca/Whatever, and now they're praising made up Gods and selling shiny rocks to each other, and everyone can recite what the rocks are called and what magic powers they have, but no one can point you towards the source of their claims or the reason why the rocks cost $5 an ounce.

tl;dr: Psychology went to shit because of women in academia, as it is much easier to dismiss problems by saying everyone has valid reasons for acting they way they do instead of actually figuring out ways to solve their problems.

Psychology is essentially about understanding people and/or giving people the tools to help themselves and adapt to their environment using therapies. It looks like meme speak on paper if you are ignorant to it but it the more you learn the more depth is uncovered.
Probably one of the most rewarding things I've studied because it's pretty much impossible to explain certain things to anyone who doesn't have at least a base knowledge. That's my definition of an academic subject.
