Equal Rights for Ice. Human-Ice Interactions

>Merging feminist postcolonial science studies and feminist political ecology, the feminist glaciology framework generates robust analysis of gender, power, and epistemologies in dynamic social-ecological systems, thereby leading to more just and equitable science and human-ice interactions.

Should non-binary, homosexual glaciers be able to adopt?

Would have preferred finding the relationship between gender and volcanoes, money poorly spent 4/10.

Context: Many government grants require a "social" component in order to be funded. Often times, this results in a scramble to find some kind of bullshit that will pass muster and tack it on to an otherwise decent grant. ELSI is the US system for this stuff. The scientists literally can't submit the grant without some social sciences project attached.

Sometimes you get decent research being done. Sometimes you get this.

Is this psychological warfare from the left? Are they trying to make people confused and upset?

>The paper "Glaciers, gender, and science," published in January 2016, concluded that "ice is not just ice," urging scientists to take a "feminist political ecology and feminist postcolonial" approach when they study melting ice caps and climate change.

OOOOhhhhh so that explains why liberal politicans pretend to believe this bullshit

>(((iceberg)))

Everytime

When physics, genetics, bioengineering and statistics in general are racist, offensive and bigoted that's what you have left.

I'm pretty sure this is a move just for money laundry.

We went the furthest, and we fell the furthest.
We actually put a dune buggy on the moon.

messed up. we're broke, and we spend money on this shit.

"The Cloward–Piven strategy is a political strategy outlined in 1966 by American sociologists and political activists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven that called for overloading the U.S. public welfare system in order to precipitate a crisis that would lead to a replacement of the welfare system with a national system of "a guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty"...

free shit, it always end well...like in Venezuela.

Feminism is fucking insane.

Heh

kek

there's gotta be an easier way, right? to be accepted into a peer reviewed journal just to clean some cash

there's still a ways to fall, user

Why do they need social components? Is this some liberal arts BS or various branches of science trying to get grants geared more toward anthropology?

#GlacierLivesMatter
YOU'RE A WHITE GLACIER

um why are all the arctic explorers white?

why are they shutting people of color out of this field of science?

I'm starting to think that nuclear winter after ww3 might not be so bad. Humanity needs reset and some gene pool purge.

My dad is a hydro-geologist, for those not in the know this means he specializes in water and how it interacts with geological structures: groundwater, glaciers, rivers etc.

i kinda want to show him this but he's like 60 and while he's in good health i think this would make him old-man mad for at least a year.

but we might actually fall into a dark age. too bad we can't take that step up to the next level.

He was educated in a white, patriarchal, capitalist college. He's such an ignorant bigot he probably never even asked glaciers for their pronouns

the funny thing is, he is a liberal (he's a scientist that works for the gubbimint), he's a globalist, for lack of a better word, christian who wants to convert the world and hates racists.

but this 3rd wave feminism has started to make some cracks in his foundation.
