HERO OR TRAITOR?

Well pol; what do you think?

I'm torn. NSA surveillance was over the top. But this guy also seems like he was a mole. What else has he given to foreign governments? *shrug*

youtube.com/watch?v=VV1XWJN3nJo

I don't care, he changed absolutely nothing and fucked up his life for no gain. Pretty retarded desu

i would've said "hero" before he threw julian assange and chelsea manning under the bus to try to ass-kiss his way back into the ZOG's good graces

He's a hero for upholding the fourth amendment at great personal risk, and an idiot for being a moron leftist when it's the political left that's the reason he's in the situation he's in.

He changed Twitter activists' hero

The most cost effective thing the KGB had ever done

He released information that put people in harms way. Even though he had the noblest of intentions his actions were shortsighted.

> mole
> exposes information to the public rather than staying hidden to gather more secrets
> no evidence he was giving anything to other governments before he leaked to Greenwald

Any suggestion that this idea is remotely credible is only put forth by butthurt agents mad that people know they abuse their power to look at nudes.

> in harms way

Example?

Should be tried in court for revealing classified info. Esp. for giving info to Chinese, russos to save his own ass.

His leaks of defense procedures and government systems have aided extremist groups.

i have questions about his predicament

how was he able to get all of the files he released? with the amount of security around government networks you'd think he would be unable to get anything. i used to work for an international company and they recorded literally everything you did, up to and including requests to download random files. sounds sketchy that he'd be able to do that shit for 3 years or more and not get caught.

why did nobody ask to even see his plane ticket? his official excuse was that he claimed to need medical treatment, but he booked a ticket to Hong Kong and ditched everything. why would someone with his self-reported level of access not even demand that small level of security? here's a quote:

>"I would sit down with the CIO of the CIA, the CTO of the CIA, the chiefs of all the technical branches. They would tell me their hardest technology problems, and it was my job to come up with a way to fix them."

you're telling me this guy was in contact with the CIO and CTO of the fucking CIA, and nobody even bothered to check where he was going?

when he went to russia, he apparently had a number of laptops with him. according to his reports, they were "dummy" laptops that didn't have anything of note on them, and he has refused to hand over any secret information to russia.

if he's telling the truth and they were dummy laptops, why would he bring them in the first place? if they weren't dummy laptops, he's probably a fucking spy, and how the hell can we trust a man who has been given asylum by the russian government after flying into their country after just having released tons of classified info?

the global surveillance leaks do seem legit, and i thank him for doing that (if he even did), but something doesn't add up.

This guy is woke af, unlike all the bluepilled babbies peddling the "le Snowden is with le us XDDDD" narrative.

do you have proofs to substantiate your claim sir?

Hero

Anyone else saying otherwise is a shill.

There is literally nothing wrong with exposing corrupted government
you can be patriotic to your country and still not like the government itself

one last thing:

apparently he only released "one percent" of the shit he took with him.

where's the other 99%? doesn't sound very smart for a guy with an IQ of "over 145" to just dump 99% of the shit he stole and ruin his life while doing it.

he clearly has it, the question is where, and who he potentially gave some of it to for asylum

think about it, the man (if his story is at all legitimate) was probably scared out of his mind, the US government was running after him, if China or Russia asked for "just a little bit of those CIA tactic manuals, don't worry it won't hurt anyone" why would he refuse?

Cuckold.

He's basically confirmed he's curating info he releases to fit agendas he agrees with.

Assange is the true hero who releases all information regardless of his own biases.

>Assange is the true hero who releases all information regardless of his own biases.
"This will be the end of Hillary's campaign says extremely prolific shitposter for the 7th time this year"

k... keep me posted

he talked shit about Russia in his latest interview so I wouldn't be surprised if he had an "unfortunate accident" soon

Russia is the only thing saving you from death and you talk shit. that's fucking retarded.

Compromised.

Not to mention sending defense networks back decades.

I wonder if getting caught was part of his plan.

ATTENTION: CTR IS FREAKING THE FUCK OUT BECAUSE OF THE RECENT KKKILLARY KKKLINTON KKKAMPAIGN KKKATASTROPHE.

SHILLS ARE DESPERATELY SPAMMING POL WITH ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING TO DISTRACT FROM THE KKKILLARY KKKLINTON BODY KKKOUNT.

C T R
FUCKING
SUICIDAL

hmmm... a "snowden hero or traitor" thread does kinda seem like a slide thread now that i think about it. i have been swindled!

he did the eroung thing for right reason. he was a government employee who could have done more good if he had stayed on the inside and changed it from within. at the time it was widely suspected that our government tracted and tapped everyone. it was post 9/11 it wasnt surprising to me nor is it upsetting. weather you like it or not hes a traitor. an army soldier who deserts his poast is the same as a cia or nsa agent that leaks secrets. they knew what they singed up for .he is bound by law to uphold his promiss under penalty of death. no amnisty - the reason he did it is invalid like i could kill a person that is a relly bad guy for moral reasons but the fact would be i still took a life. so i should be held accountable . i might be a hero but id still go to prison. by all acounts he wasnt trying to escape justice he did what he thought was right

Hes the reason society outs like it is. Traitor.

I don't really understand him. I can reach an understanding on releasing info about NSA spying on American citizens. But why the all the info on how we spy on other countries? It's literally their job to spy on all foreign government. Any government doing their job should be spying on other countries. Everyone spying on everyone actually makes the world safer.

Anyway, he wouldn't make it in a trial because regardless any good he did, he still committed treason.

I think he validly pointed out that it is an egregious violation of our rights to monitor domestic communications of American citizens without due process. The Echelon program within FVEY does this as a matter of course. We knew this before Snowden, but he made it impossible to write off as "tinfoil."

I can't speak as to his actual motivations for leaking information proving this.

Americans, WTF? A traitor for telling the truth? I dont hate EEUU people or nothing like it, but your politicians are a cancer for the humanity. He has destroyed his life trying to say something that he think is wrong for everybody, and you hate him? He is a fucking hero.

>I am going to spout words
very nice post angloshitstain

Sup Forums's weekly reminder that no evidence of this ever arose

look at the outcome of what he's done, NSA has been painted as evil big brother. It was a limited hangout to damage the NSA done by a CIA agent. There's a war of agendas between the three letter agencies.
