Gabriel Lorca did nothing wrong. There's nothing wrong with keeping exotic pets. There's nothing wrong with acquiring valuable personnel. There's nothing wrong with site-to-site transports because the lights in the hallway hurt your eyes. Nothing wrong.

Is the world ready for hot, naked female crewmen? Are we that tolerant yet?

I was gonna say it must taste pretty good since Riker seemd to enjoy it, but well, he seems the type of guy to eat anything.

>has hair
not canon

>that one time Tuvok went back in time to serve as chief Engineer for The Highwayman

Savory like raw steak but also earthy like mushrooms or truffles.

What would your ideal Trek series be like, /trek/?

As for me:
>show about a bunch of nobody Federation failures that all get assigned to a near-derelict Miranda-class doing supply runs
>stains on the carpets, jerry-rigged consoles, constantly passed over for retrofits and repairs due to front line ships taking precedence
>crew bullshit and banter constantly with each other, answer hails completely smashed, and generally be utterly incompetent but somehow they manage to get the job done just enough to not get washed out
>regularly singing drunken shanties as they deliver cargo like youtu.be/FH8lvwXx_Y8
>series ends with the ship valiantly defending innocent civilians, hopelessly outgunned, with something akin to the feeling of this playing as the ship is torn to ribbons and multiple front line ships warp in and wipe out the enemy, showing the crew bought the civilians just enough time: youtu.be/3WDRxtd-2dQ

Voyager but good and with actual continuity

this

>we will never have a series that has the same tone as Year of Hell throughout the entire series
>Janeway will never get the ship back so completely altered and patched together with alien technology that when it encounters the first Starfleet vessel it registers as six different forms of hostile, including Borg and, somehow, Jem'Hadar, and is completely unrecognizable

Sucks, man.

Fermented earthworms.

>we will never have a series that has the same tone as Year of Hell throughout the entire series
This would fit right into modern television. The Walking Dead in Space.

that would be neat if it didn't try to be 2dark4u

I like my gagh deep fried in butter and served with thick and fluffy waffles smothered in a nice maple syrup.

Everything is too edgy.

So, Red Dwarf but with more people and less holograms?
I'd prefer to see Dukat and Sisko team up to solve murder mysteries, while Garak and Quark consistently outperform them.

Though I owe the future of my race to Starfleet and their benevolence, their ships do not have adequate promenades.

>tfw keeping slaves is not allowed for retarded reasons
>not even extrajudicial executions are ok, and criminals never get what they deserve
To Cardis everyone must look so retarded.

>ywn star trek anime

>tfw can't fuck the Bajoran qt down in Sickbay
fucking Federation, it's not called rape if the woman is a Bajoran.

BSG?

bags of sand

Xindi arc

Star Fleet gets their balls back. the dominion war shocked the Federation to their cores. Report after report of star fleet underperforming, or just not up to the task. Security Forces clearly not sufficiently trained, equipped, or in sufficient numbers for multi planet ground wars.

the major powers are all in chaos from lose of home worlds, political unrest, and minor powers trying to take advantage of power vacuums.

So Federation recreates the Military Assault Command Operations as a new branch with in star fleet. Star Fleet designs and builds a new class of battleship. The Crisis class.

The Crisis prototype goes missing on her first shakedown cruise. The USS Valley Forge, an aging Excelsior class is sent to find her. In the process of find the Crisis. The crew uncovers a conspiracy that could end the Federation for good. The Valley Forge is lost recovering the Crisis, and her crew takes over the Crisis.

afterwards the crisis is on a mission to stop the conspirators. while also boldly going where others won't dare. keeping the peace, rescuing those in need, and meeting new life and civilizations.

Is Data moe?

so did STD kill the trek threads?

So faggot shit

Good. Keep that weeb shit out of muh trek!

Affirmative

No, this is the shitposter room.

Can someone give me a quick getsalt of the history of the Klingon empire? Real Klingons I mean, not STD Klingons

Not as good as targ meat.

ATTENTION BAJORAN WORKERS

IT SEEMS LIKE SOMEONE STOLE MY COPY OF "SEXY BAJORAN VEDEKS GO WILD VOL. 52". I ASSURE YOU THE VIDEO WAS FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. ANY BAJORAN FOUND WITH THE VIDEO WILL BE PUNISHED UNLESS THEY ARE A FEMALE.

THAT IS ALL

memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Klingon_Empire

I'm not being an arse. I like the memory alpha articles for those kind of things.

trekino

ATTENTION BAJORAN WORKERS, I HAVE BEEN HEARING RUMORS ABOUT KIRA'S MOTHER, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CALLING HER "WHORE OF TEROK NOR". EVERYONE ON TEROK NOR IS TO RELAY THIS MESSAGE TO NERYS

>What would your ideal Trek series be like, /trek/?

>Star Trek: By Any Means Necessary
basically every episode would be about Section 31 ending threats to the federation while probably totally ignoring the Roddenberry ideals.

Got this on the DVR tonight. What can I expect?

a long fucking time ago: a kling named Kahless unite the klingon and form an empire on Kronos (not the real spelling)
In ENT: they get infected by some shit and lose the ridges on their forehead
in TOS: they engage in some skirmishes with the feds not to far from an open war
TOS movies: Kronos moon blow on their face, they're in collapse USSR style and they sign the kithomer agreement with the feds becoming de facto ally with the federation
TNG: not too much, Kahless (or more like a clone) come back he is reinstated as the ruler but he as even less power than the queen of england
DS9: the go to war with "the bloody cardies" and end the kithomer agreement when the feds try to help the detapad concil (cardies government) then after the dominion reveal itself to be a threat they reengage in the kithomer agreement and go to war with the fedaration agaisnt the dominion.
then it's shit games and fanfictions

loads of scenes of Dukat showing off his bod. Dude never has his shirt on, it's kinda weird. Gets kinda rapey with women, but damn, they fucking fall for him every time.

>TNG, also civil war because the klings have no honor and a shit sucession system that allow a federation captain to choose who is going to be the next ruler of the empire

>STO
>Shit

Great game. STD should have just taken some of it's stories.

>Tfw /ourguy/ Worf was the first autistic star trek character and nobody even noticed it.

>gif

Sauce?

The Ben Stiller Show.

scotty executes beta one maneuver

Do the later STD episodes have those retarded quips you get in Joss Whedon movies? I only watched the first episode and it was painful because of that.

Hell yeah, he was!

Along similar lines, a Dominion War anthology would kick ass, with more episodes like the DS9 Red Squad one, episodes like what you described, and /comfy/ shit like life on distant Fed colonies a-la The Inner Light that all gets shattered when war comes to their doorstep.

Better yet, pull a Dunkirk and have all the different stories, on different timescales, all tie together in the end, a-la the /comfy/ sleepy colony is saved by the Miranda of Misfits™ who are a piece of smoldering wreckage in the distance as the brand-new Akira crewed by terrified cadets under the command of Junior officers field-promoted to Captain saves the day on its shakedown-cruise-turned-combat-mission.

For bonus points, add in a group of disgraced Klingon mercenaries on the run in a patched-together old K'Tinga who were stalking the Miranda and planning to sack the colony until they had a change of heart as the Dominion arrive and decide to die with honor on the battlefield against overwhelming odds.

Fuck-Me-Boots

Bashirfag boots

I like how that chick did absolutely nothing the entire episode except fall over a few times

No. And I don't remember any quips in the pilot.

little passive aggressive comments between michael and alien man

Not many, but the new cadet character will probably spurt a few. She seems to be set up as shitty comic relief.

I'd love to go back DS9. DS9 the Next Generation. Sisko's daughter is an ensign or Lt. And we see how Bajor has intergrated into the Federation. Cardassia is shell of it self. Damar City is battleground. Trueway terroist constantly bombing civilians. DS9 is basically a museum as the new station is being built. Prophets starting talking again after thirty years. However Vorta suddenly comes through the wormhole begging for assistance from a newly emergent and super aggressive Borg.

This

Also this.

I honestly would love to see DS9-level changes in tone on a realistic VOY. Have some stretches, lasting even for seasons, that are as /comfy/ as peak TNG, with the ship in good repair and the crew hopping from planet SoCal to Planet Bluescreen again and again, making first contact with various new species and fixing the little problems that they have on their own worlds while Neelix always comes back with interesting new things to cook for dinner on the way to the next adventure.

At the same time, other stretches of the show would feel like early 1st Season NuBSG, with the crew fleeing the Borg, running, not fighting, and making hard decisions like leaving away teams behind to save the ship when the Borg enter a system, etc. Those stretches would be very Year Of Hell-esque.

The rest would be the crew trying to reconcile the good and bad parts of their journey. Buff Neelix into a Guinan-esque character who uses his stories of hardship followed by good fortune to communicate that as bad as things may get, there's still always hope.

>the borg

oh they'll just bring old lady janeway out of retirement

I'm in love with Gul Dukats daughter.

How did DS9 balance /comfy/ and /2dark4u/?

self contained episodes are a great tool to balance the tone of a serie so you're not bound to be grimdark or a fucking comedy show like today, even if DS9 had plot arcs that lasted seasons like the dominion's war there was still self contained episode that dwelled on characters and shit so you could see them live and act "normally" not just go on a long road of battles and plotpoints

>watching DS9 with my gf
>it's a Gul Dukat scene
>my gf bites her lip, grips the couch cushions, sweats profusely, and starts moaning

I'd say "Hi, Garak" but that would summon Bashirfaggot

dont lie user we know that 1st you don't have a gf and 2nd you did the moaning I do the same everytime he is on screen

So everyone blames Michael for starting the war

And Lorca thinks she did the right thing

But what did she do? She tried and failed to fre first on the Klingons, her actions had basically no impact on the situation at all

desu user, I just wanna shitpost about Dukat here, not talk about STD

Please don't point out obvious plot holes.
The series won't survive anyway.

>captain says don't land on thing
>land on the thing
>captain says don't fire on the thing
>try to fire on the thing
>captain says capture the Klingon leader
>kill Klingon leader

She is 100% responsible.

Fuck-Me-Face

the captain didn't say anything like don't land on the thing

and the captain was the one in favour of killing the Klingon leader before Michael said not to make him a martyr

Yeah, this
For every "In the Pale Moonlight" there was "His Way"

Thats not a quip you sensitive baby

The captain literally said "only a flyby" and it gets repeated by both of them several times.

Michael came up with the plan to capture the leader, Captain ordered her to carry the plan out, then Michael still shot the leader, making it her fault he was killed, regardless of who originally came up with the plan.

...

It's a piece of cake to sell your soul to the devil.

AHH! After ten thousand years, I'M FREE! It's time to SHITPOST!

OH SHI-

>I started out playing Garak as someone who doesn't have a defined sexuality. He's not gay, he's not straight, it's a non-issue for him. Basically his sexuality is inclusive. But – it's Star Trek and there were a couple of things working against that. One is that Americans really are very nervous about sexual ambiguity. Also, this is a family show, they have to keep it on the 'straight and narrow', so then I backed off from it.

>Originally, in that very first episode, I loved the man's absolute fearlessness about presenting himself to an attractive Human being. The fact that the attractive Human being is a man (Bashir) doesn't make any difference to him, but that was a little too sophisticated I think.

>For the most part, the writers supported the character beautifully, but in that area they just made a choice they didn't want to go there, and if they don't want to go there I can't, because the writing doesn't support it.

What did Andrew "Scorpio Killer" Robinson mean by this?

It means that at some point Garak/Dukat might've been a thing if Andrew Robinson was the showrunner

Holodeck porn titles.

>pon'fared girls are easy

A couple of threads ago we had a discussion about pop culture references in Trek ( ) and I think I found a more recent one from DS9: Family Business

>Tell me, does your brother's league use a designated hitter rule?
>Oh no. They thought about it, but decided against it.

>In baseball, the designated hitter rule is the common name for Major League Baseball Rule 5.11, adopted by the American League in 1973

>BSG
That's exactly what it was. Ronald D. Moore was so disgusted by the mindset of the writers on Voyager that he quit, and when he had the chance he re-made Battlestar Galactica using all the missed opportunities of Voyager and the best bits of DS9 thrown in too.

I'm fine with that but Dukat has to be bottom.

Why was bashir not told to sleep late the day they took the photos?

I appreciate you going through the trouble of finding that out. Aside from time travel episodes, they really didn't have a ton of references to 80s or 90s stuff (or even second half of the 20th century), which I don't mind that much.

lewd, also you're gonna have a hell of a time convincing him of that

Because in the 1950's you couldn't tell a homosexual just from looking at a picture so he was safe.

It's a real shame how the latter seasons of BSG went down though. Almost as bad as Voyager's Endgame or the end of Mass Effect 3, but a bit more depressing due to the actual potential the series had.

Here is a guide on how to spot a homosexual from 1962.

why are these threads split

I couldn't stand BSG from the beginning, dropped it a little into S2. I understand it was written by a mormon decades ago but it doesn't really excuse it's issues with character writing and particularly bad science which could have been fixed up without too much hassle.

The entire arc where they somehow can't find one of the most common compounds in the universe was shaking my suspension of disbelief like an earthquake non-stop.

/trek/ doesn't want to talk about STD (or at the very least, argue autistically about it)
STD thread is a hotzone for autism and no one talks about the show much, they just ree a lot
and then you have the Orville threads that are part STDfags angry at them/part "holy shit this is better wtf how" posting

Because this is the one for shitposting.

Do they still have condoms in 24th century or are you made temporarily sterile upon entering Starfleet so you don't crossbreed with a native population on accident like Trip did?

>I understand it was written by a mormon
Hello again. It's still the original that you're thinking of, not the reboot.

I think the article may be satirical in nature, as there are multiple contradictions. (obsessed with mother/older women and obsessed with children, fancy dressed egomaniac and pauper calling everyone else wonderful).

You take injections to shoot blanks and to presumably be immune to STDs, or that is what I recall from DS9 and Cassidy telling Sisko he knocked her up.

that's fucking retarded, i'd much rather discuss the show with the idiots here
>/trek/ general that doesn't actually talk about the first trek in ages airing

I'm guessing they have regular shots. Sisko said something about it when he got Kasidy preggers, like how he was distracted or whatever and missed his appointment. I forget the correct wording.
I'm sorry, my answer is a touch too serious, have a pic of Dukat, a man who never used a condom or a shot.
