But I partially agree. The main problem here (apart from mudslimes) is the fact that we're not having enough children while at the same time people are living longer and longer. So we are getting more and more pensioners compared to people being born that are collecting high benefits while not contributing anything to society. If nothing is done this will eventually lead to a collapse (hopefully not in my lifetime though).

The whole concept of social democracy requires a sugar daddy nation of sorts to subsidize it. Hence The U.S. pays for NATO budget, keeps troops stationed all over Europe; Germany can spend it's money on free college and sex changes since it doesn't have to worry about paying a defense budget.

Up until about 5-6 years ago it was probably the best option, it should have also been there during the crisis (as opposed to trying to combine austerity AND social-democracy in some retarded hybrid), but right now it's horifficaly out of place.
I mean, I think it was a great idea for Belgium to maintain a high standard when other countries were dropping theirs, but there was a time to stop and rethink things. Instead we delved deeper and deeper and now it's over.
