Enough with the negativity. Say something nice about DIS

That's some 40K warp shit, don't fuck with the void.

>DIS
It's STD

When are we going to see more of Lt. Daftpunk

At least they tried?

I liked the spooky.

Star Trek Discovery is DIS because Enterprise is ENT and Voyager is VOY. It's not rocket science

It's actually very good.

The intro of the ship is glorious as fuck

She ded

It's called STD

pls no

I'm sure they did their best

>watched DIS
>Didn't feel star trek at all, just shit sci fi
>Decided to try Orville cause sad
>Actually feels very star trek, just with jokes and gags.

How the fuck is this possible? Anyone else agree?

its called /STD/ you fucking faggot.

>Muh low budget television

Fuck off shill

Never ever. This robot slut has a name so I guess it's going to live for a while.

Did you want to tell us something about your STD?

Best girl

>STD

It's because MacFarlane is apparently a huge Trekkie and has been wanting to reboot Star Trek for years and took the first chance to make a cheap knockoff when he could, and STD was developed by suits that just want to make sure that CBS doesn't lose their rights to a giant cash cow, and thus made a series that would fit in with every other popular Sci-fi series in the last 20 years.

I don't think you understand why it's so funny. STD= sexual transmitted disease

Its official designation is DSC. STD and DIS fags need to GTFO.

it makes other shows look even better

it's not /DIS/aster, idiot

You can totally tell he's a huge fan, he dose everything right. Its so reminiscent of TNG. Why the fuck didn't they just let him do the trick series?

Anyone else think this sequence is some kind of reference to Creation of Adam?

as a chick soap opera relationship drama, it's ok

Orville shills don't exis-

>/DIS/grace

Orville is cringe.
>phoneposting

The music isn't too bad, but considering the money spent, it looks like a generic Netflix opener. Wish it was more traditional.

buttblasted CBS shill edition

>soap opera
Tell me how it's a soap opera, buzzword-kun. Also, what relationship drama? Are you just typing random words?

Well duh...

What does it mean though

Why were there so few corpses? They can't have seen more than a dozen.

STD

?

At least we know it was a long road, getting from there to here.

>/DIS/
>a total failure

kek
you just stealthily called the show a disaster. bravo.

All the other kids with the pumped up kicks.

Seriously, stop spamming.

It's probably meant to show how mankind took the place of god.

Funny how triggered brainlets get by the official abbreviation

...

Have the uniforms and badges been fully elucidated yet? Seems like there are slight variations in the badges, and higher ups have extra strips right across the shoulders.

The fact that it's inverted would support this. Kind of fucked up considering Star Trek is a Christian series.

/dis/aster is the official name of the show? really? they're admitting it?

That quote sounds like typical Star Trek. Why the autism?

>Main characters are named Michael and Gabriel

What does this mean?

I have watched 9 original STK episodes in curiosity. I have watched 30ish DS9 episodes due to my father being a Scyfy nut & wanting to spend quality time.

What does this say?

I liked DS9 better.

the shuttle coloring is so good

Because Mikey is an unlikable cunt.

Just fuck off already.

It says that you have taste. DS9 is the best series.

...

what video game is this?

The more I look at this the crappier it looks.

They suffer from autism just ignore them

DS9 probably has more consistently good episodes. TOS is much less arch-based so you can watch them in pretty much any order. Watch Space Seed, City on the Edge of Forever and Journey to Babel if you haven't.

>DS9 is the best series
It's a distant third.

>princess DISgrace
>a royal DISaster

They do look great. Makes you wonder why in a few years they'll be using these pieces of shit.

they finally made a ship that actually looks like it was designed by space communists

>shame is forever

Haters unironically want DIS to look like that

This sucks. The paint isn't even scuffed.

I enjoy it becoming event horizon.
How long until we get these scenes?
m.youtube.com/watch?v=xuJnIJHgQ44

The new ones are more aesthetic, but the TOS era one looks comfier. I don't mean that in the nostalgiafag way, it literally looks like it has more room for comfortable seating and to stretch your legs.

Gotta save on duranium think of all the children in Africa they have to feed.

I don't I just wish they had set the show in different time so that shit like that wouldn't come up. No matter how you look at it STD does not look like it's happening around the same time as TOS.

TOS look isn't canon.
Discovery sealed the deal, we went from Discovery to TMP. (which makes sense because TOS design made no sense when TMP takes place like a year later after the 5 year mission.)
What TOS looked like was most likely TMP with TOS colour highlights (orange rails, orange doors etc)

utterly DISgraceful (You)

See

I like it, it looks like the space van it is. These look like riced-up streetshuttles

How is the paint meant to get scuffed?

It's okay, it's a new canon.

strawpoll.me/14062493/r

because starfleet ship designers got STDs from Martin
all of them

STD

/DIS/gusting

>watching cringeville
remove yourself from this timeline

STD is a /DIS/ease
fyi

So many smug faces.
Literally smug contest.

But the TMP shuttles look like this.

The bridge design is fine you're right when it's more reminiscent of post TMP designs where they had budget, but that doesn't change the fact that things like the uniforms, shuttle designs, and ALL of the Klingon designs makes the series look way out of place compared to both TOS and all the TOS movies.

...

I think the uniforms are a nice cross of ENT and TOS

From previous thread: Discovery is actually the Star Trek I have been waiting for

>ancient Klingon religious relics in space
>xenoarcheology
>Section 31
>interstellar war
>Federation cyborgs
>mobile mad science lab spaceship
>''You actually thought Federation is a democracy ? HA!'' argument
>10/10 visuals
>rogue trader captain
>shady experiments
what's not to love?

I like it, but I prefer episodic shows.

This is true, but on the uniforms, I can see what they were going with, it's an update on the classic 1950s, 1960s retrofuturistic sci-fi designs of the era, I noticed that straight away, you can tell with the way the gold/silver comes up from the underarm over the sholders in discovery, it's straight out of retrofuturism costume design for sci-fi

...

ew

The triggered autist who reeeeees about DSC is reason alone to admire the show.
Anyway Discovery is a pleasent surprise.

Which would be fine, if the series took place in like the late 22nd century instead of just a few years before TOS. The uniforms don't have to be the same, but they should be somewhat similar.

Don't get me wrong, the design isn't bad, I don't think any of the design work in Discovery is bad, the design and SFX are some of the best stuff in STD, but it all looks out of place given where the series is suppose to take place on the timeline, it breaks your immersion.

>show called star TREK
>technology to shorten the TREK
They should just call it "Star".

It has some nice visual effects.

nice

>what's not to love?
No good waifus

>DSC
It's DIS

Yeah I agree the uniforms should have been coloured in TOS colours like Singer wanted them too.
