It was a nice try. I liked the different lives he created at college like where he's a prep, then a loser, then in between etc. The rules of the time-travelling thing make no sense though. They didn't think the film through properly, and as such, it is pleb tier garbage.

12 monkeys' timetravel is kinda the same though, and probably there are others which use psychic things for it

Seeing Rotten Tomatoes ratings used for ad campaigns should have been everyone's first warning sign to stop using it. It's when 89% became considered a "low rating".
This movie was pre rotten tomatoes, film criticism was a different game back then.

The same shit happened to me with 1408. I saw one ending where the author survived and his wife and him heard their daughter on the recovered tape recorder.
A few years later, completely different ending where the author died and SLJ is listening to the tape at his funeral.
