One idea I have been toying with regarding stuff like requests of backer illustrations is having characters swapping roles with eachother. Not just costumes but their roles as characters.
Like, Willa being the middle child of royalty and Zander being the silent adventurer.
Or Ash being the chatty postgirl while Debbie is the anti-social urchin. Stuff like that.

But really the simplest choice would be picking out your favourite characters and thinking of things for them to do.

A yuman subspecies swap might be interesting as well.

I think it's because Nikol still has a similar face and headshape to her old form while Serra doesn't really resemble her old self in terms of face and head shape.

I think Serra having fully drawn eyes (slanted at that) instead of her normal halfway eyes contributes to it being harder to recognize too
