someone just leak the final issue already I need to be FREE of this wretched event
Carter Turner
suits probably just nanites that form to look like a suit.
Kayden Mitchell
Holy fuck capt america is killing me fucking kek
Robert Green
Looks like Iron Tony missed Carl and blew up Cap by accident
Asher Hernandez
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Adrian Morris
So even after all that bullshit about Ulyses' visions not being 100% right, they still gonna' have Cap end up in that same goddamn pose they keep throwing around in four other comics, just to make it seem like Carol was in the right?
Fuck this comic.
Joseph Lopez
>Marvel's Summer 2017 event
so fucking happy i don't read floppies anymore
Matthew Bailey
The old razzle dazzle.
Easton Mitchell
I'm getting the feeling Tony is doing the least efficient thing by just spamming energy attacks at her.
I mean, I'm sure he could pull of some kind of sciency bullshit to beat her, but here he is charging straight ahead like a retard.
Ethan Scott
>that bottom panel
That pose just looks hilarious.
Brandon Howard
weren't these two pages in issue 7
Bentley White
Is it time for death yet?
Nicholas Bailey
That comes later
Adam Long
>he could pull of some kind of sciency bullshit to beat her
Wouldn't that require good writing though? At least better writing than "MORE DAKKA WAAAGH!"
Henry Lewis
Why were they fighting again?
Ayden Butler
But dude look at the size of that armor,, Tony is da biggezt and da strongezt.
Aaron Baker
It's absolutely hilarious to me that this entire comic is built around the conflict of two former alcoholics and drinking buddies, and absolutely no one calls attention to that!
YOU'RE IN A GIANT BAR FIGHT YOU NUMPTIES! DON'T JUST FOLLOW THEM AROUND!
Dominic Hernandez
He's actually firing ROCKETS at her, not energy blasts. See, if he fired energy at her, she'd absorb it, and Bendis has frequently demonstrated that he remembers she's an energy sponge.
Jeremiah Edwards
Because Captain Marvel was wrong
Benjamin Sanders
...
Angel Anderson
Carol wants to arrest people before they commit crimes because she saw a psychic vision of the future via inhuman were they're allegedly doing something wrong. Tony wants to stop her from doing that. According to Miles "One Tap Zap" Morales, this fight was over him because they saw a vision of him killing Cap.
Jaxon Sullivan
I know some people won't get the joke you're making user, but I want you to know that I do, and I love it.
Christian Nelson
When rockets explode that's energy going everywhere. Even a punch is kinetic energy. Fuck Bendis
Jordan Foster
So if Cap is getting blasted and killed and all. Could we star the "CAP IS COMING BACK TO EARTH" thing again? Oh, by the way you're all fucked when the Hulk gets back.
Evan Russell
Underrated post!
Dylan Morris
Doom?
Connor Green
Nice
Juan Morgan
He's not even wearing his Iron Man suit. The poor bastard is going to die in War Machine's hand-me-down.
Blake Turner
...
Caleb Peterson
cap aint dying thanks to marvels poor scheduling everyone present at the fight is alive and well in there own series except iron slush
Nathaniel Nguyen
Marvel's Summer 2017 event is all but confirmed to be Hydra War which has a good chance of being decent.
At the very least, there's no way it'll be as much of a fucking trainwreck as Civil War II. There hasn't been an event that's done as much damage while also being as irredeemably bad as CWII since Secret Wars II. Like, Ultimatum and Age of Ultron were worse comics, but their damage was contained. Ultimatum only affected the Ultimate Universe and AoU was practically non-canon.
Actually, it's probably pretty safe to say that Civil War II is to Secret Wars (2015) as Secret Wars II was to Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars.
Josiah Turner
If it's not a beam, then it's not energy as far as Bendis is concerned. And, for that matter, as far as comic book science is concerned more often than not.
Ryan Williams
His new armor has regenerative properties. Which isn't new considering so did the Superior Armor and Bleeding Edge. It'd be weird if he made a suit that couldn't regenerate/reconstruct at this point.
Joshua Davis
>for the fate of the Marvel Universe! So fucking sick of Marvel's hyperbole.
Even if they do, the context would be different. In Ulysses' vision, it was Miles outright killing him because LOL HYDRA (but no one knew the Hydra bit). This time, it'd be Tony accidentally shooting some missiles at him which won't kill him, probably just hurt him pretty bad.
Dylan Ortiz
10/10
Caleb Carter
Nah, the way its reconstructing shows that it's derivative of his current suit. This is just a Marvelbuster he cooked up to take Carol down. Which, given the fact that his ____busters NEVER work, was immediate proof that he'd lose the fight.
He just used Rhodey's colors to fuck with Carol.
Thomas Sullivan
>absolutely no one calls attention to that! Bendis himself called attention to it in his Invicible Iron Man tie-in.
Bentley Ramirez
>MOM HOLY FUCK
Brandon Thomas
Ah, so it's another non-event then? Who am I kidding, it's one of the big two, they're all non-events.
Caleb Taylor
And what exactly are the beams? Lazers? Fire?
David Ramirez
Yasss, It'll all be over soon
Nathan Lee
This shit's still going on?
Cooper Collins
when will be the full issue out?
Isaiah Walker
Shouldn't Rogers at least hold the shield up toward the explosion, his body flailing like that is hilarious but rather distracting given this is supposed to be serious.
Hudson Kelly
Energy
Jason Carter
To be specific, they're "Pure" Energy.
Lincoln Turner
Wednesday
Sebastian Sullivan
What happened to this woman? She was a terrorist or what?
Zachary Jenkins
Why did you spoonfeed him? The answer is in the op.
Chase Perez
nightcrawler teleported her to his sex cave
Cameron Campbell
No she wasn't. But she hired Spot and Jessica Jones to dig up dirt on any and all superpowered people. Even though some of them went to war to rescue her. Fuck Bendis. Only he can write a dozen of copied self-fulfilling prophecy plots in a row and somehow sell them as an event.
Eli Peterson
She wasn't then, but she might become one now. She recently appeared in Jessica Jones and now hates all superheroes.
Levi Morgan
I wish cape writers could at least pass like grade 11
David Allen
the fucking tie-ins already spoilered the outcome of CWII, not that it matters but and interesting plot twist or reveal would bringg this shitty comic with excellent art to a mediocre comic with excellent art
trolling aside, what would you guys change, add, or remove from CWII? how would you make it insteresting?
I know the first step would be remove bendis, but what else?
Blake Wood
You have 30 seconds to tell me one good thing about Civil War II
Protip: You can't
Dominic Thompson
the art and colouring
Easton Jackson
I would remove Bend-
FUCK
Anthony Wright
Not doing what is written in the Bingo Chart seems like a good start
Dylan Rodriguez
People will actually pay money to read this shit?
Yikes, makes me feel bad for the Marvel fans.
Samuel Butler
But everyone hates superheroes in 616-8.
Michael Cruz
Wanda got shit on in issue one and feel like these things need a "writer catastrophically fails at middle school science" square in the future
Samuel Hall
I remember reading somewhere, that during the writing of 52, the writers spent a shitload of time reconstructing the scene where Booster fakes his death so that it wouldn't come across as unintentionally hilarious.
Clearly the artist needed to try doing the same thing with a variety of poses here.
Evan Perry
Never ever do prophecy/time travel-ish stories. They always create wonky paradoxes and stupid explanations. The whole CWII cash-grab thing was stupid to begin with.
Matthew Smith
Jesus Christ Bendis
Zachary Cox
What marvel fans? we the marvel battered wives are the only ones left.
they missed a clear one >books due after the event ends are released before the last issue.
Ryder Myers
Shouldnt we summon Scanbro already?
Tyler Evans
But she hates them WITH REASON
Connor Stewart
*Summons Scanbro*
Alexander Long
FINAL FLASH !!!!
Jace Ramirez
>My only regret is that I have boneitis!
Jackson Morris
That would have to be a free space in the middle
Lincoln King
Captain America survives and excel in the middle of battles against Thanos, Kang, Beyonder and every kind of omnipotent beings...some of them including Iron Man and Miss Marvel and now dies like a bitch in the middle of a battle between Iron Man and Miss Marvel?
Jaxson Gutierrez
Must be another Thanos buster missile or whatever it was.
Jace Nguyen
...this is just right.
David Perez
Not until Monday.
Joseph Ross
And sounds like a psychopath. It's easy to see why she accidentally managed to false flag ulysses.
Tyler Anderson
Wait, are Ulysses' predictions preventable or are they all definite, like Thoth?
David Reed
Fucking hell,I couldn't handle that last panel of Cap going full WB dancing frog. Why would anyone greenlight that final artwork? Are the editors just fucking with people now?
Excuse me while I bandage my sides.
William Diaz
All of the newfound in-universe love for Carol makes sense now. She baned the fucker that shot Captain America on the footsteps of the Lincoln Memorial. THat's gotta be worth a ton of popularity points.
Alexander Hall
Marvel is a parody of itself at this point
If I copy pasted this solicit and time traveled back to 2010, no one would believe it was genuine
Lincoln Rodriguez
Preventable as with the first big invasion thing that started the whole mess and Hulk and self fulfilling as with old man Logan and shit.
Owen Reyes
>editors I wish
Tyler Bailey
So they're unreliable and inconsistent?
Jack Cruz
Yes, it's part of Captain Hydra's plan to make the superheroes tear each other apart, yes Civil War 2 is really the subplot of Steve Rogers story apparently.
Isaac Davis
Preventable but it's looking like the harder Ulysses is pushed to make these up on demand the easier it is to make self fulfilling ones.
Hudson Reed
Wonderful
Mason Diaz
>Bendis legitimately handwaved away the questioning of one of War Machine's missiles nearly killing shulk by saying he had super special Thanos-tier missiles the whole time Someone needs to make a list of all of Bendis' retardation. Something to show normie who claim he's Marvel's best writer or something like that.
Justin Scott
They're extremely consistent. The problem is that if he has nothing normal to predict and his powers get forced his powers get self fulfilling. It's a million times more accurate than anything we have in RL or in comics that doesn't involve a prophetic powerset and as long as you wait for the person to start committing the crime you don't really have a moral quandry.
