First, how much money did all of this cost? Animators need to be paid, equipment needs to be bought, and space rented out. That is only the tip of the metaphorical iceberg. A show needs a budget, the more TIME and EFFORT that goes into production means more MONEY is spent on it. Unless you can magically shit out money, shit's expensive.
Second, CAN YOU SELL SHIT TO PEOPLE? Protip, ad revenue isn't this magic "BILLIONS OF DOLLARS" people think it to be. If no one wants to watch your movie, I don't care if it's the greatest thing on planet fucking earth, it won't last.

Shit's hard, and it's not like everyone gets exactly what they want the first draft. Scripts go through dozens, upon dozens, of revisions and that's BEFORE corporate gets to look at it. When you've entered crunch time and you have to submit an episode in 12 hours. How things look take a back seat to GETTING IT DONE.

You could raise your point with better examples for sure but I see what you mean. It would be great if we had better animated western features but sadly that costs money and making money is the name of the game, not producing quality.
I mean fuck, we lost Wander over Yonder to Star VS this year and you know for a fucking fact that WoY had better design, style and message. But Star is aimed towards a specific demographic and it got that so it lives. Don't make the mistake of thinking that we won't ever be subjected to the cheapest cartoons with the best rate of return. The animation industry has been min/max'd and quality lost.
This is what shit like kikestarter was SUPPOSED to be for. Someone would put down a five minute video of something that looked amazing, tell us how much they needed and we'd fund it and they would actually deliver.
Stop looking for hope in syndicated cartoons user. Down that path lies ever darker disappointment.
